This hotel is the best kept secret in Moscow. It is located in one of the trendiest areas of the central Moscow, within minutes walk to numerous restaurants, Patriarshi pond with the park, metro, a dozen of theaters and concert venues, 25 min walk to Kremlin, and even close to the Moscow's first McDonald's (well, that's not really an attraction). The rooms are not (Ritz Carlton) fancy, but very well appointed, clean, good quality toiletries, cleaned well and on time. Service is impeccable from the bellman to the front desk, to the restaurant, and maintenance. Breakfast is very good. The rooms were priced so low we rented a separate room for our teenage daughter. The employees were very pleasant and attentive, which made our stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. It would have been a good value for twice the money, but as it is it's as...
Read moreI stayed in the hotel Marco Polo many times before but this time was the worst. I don’t recommend anybody to stay in this hotel as the front desk is a disaster here. A real shame to have such bad staff at such a great location. Absolutely unprofessional guy, who stands at the front desk, he called himself Roman but refused to show any name tag which was already unacceptable, as I found out later his name is Roman Kochetov was so disrespectful, refused to accommodate me in the hotel, meanwhile I prepaid for two nights in this hotel and he refused to return me prepaid money back. I had to get connected to the agency where I booked the hotel so they reached him directly and demanded to return me the money. I wanted to complain to the manager of the hotel but Roman said she is on vacation as all the rest of the managing team. So there was nobody there except the front desk guy who doesn’t even know how to speak to the guests. Later that day I was welcomed in another hotel next door and the service was impeccable. Stay away from Marco Polo! Bunch of cheap thieves!
Read moreNice hotel in quite street, easy walking distance to Metro, and many restaurants and cafes. 25 minute walk to the Kremlin. We had a huge room that consisted of a separate sitting room, bathroom and large bedroom with a king size bed. 2 TV's, mini bar, couch, table and chairs. The room was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was really nice. My only negative would be the height of the bath. The shower was over the bath and the edge would have had to be at least 70cm high, making it really hard to get in and out of. Otherwise really happy...
