What was great: check-in & check-out breakfast: kudos to the Chef. Selection and quality of food was just outstanding private beach sauna autonomous electricity and water supply. There were couple of days when central electricity and water supply was interrupted due to some emergency. Still, we didn't notice any outages in the rooms. Kudos to the people who engineered all the systems!
What was so-so: Bathroom was tiny Daily room cleaning was poor. Dust remained on most of surfaces; vacuum cleaning was not done daily. Mattress on small couch was sagged. Fitness equipment was not maintained for quite a while; was creaking and squeaking when used Lighting in the 16 floor pool was flashing. Instead of changing the lamp, staff just switched it off.
What was ugly: Both curtains were hung on the same railing instead of two separate ones. It was hard to black-out the window for night. The shower head nozzles mounted at the ceiling were clogged. The shower head is mounted so high, that I could not reach it to clean the nozzles. Hamam had its own idea when to work and when not to. I could use it only 5 out of 12 days. Other time it just didn't have steam and heat.
Overall, the hotel left the impression that once it was 5-star one, but isn't maintained properly for a couple of years, so resembles a reminder of past glory. I can hardly justify paying that much for such an outdated and poorly...
Read moreGreat staying and wonderful experience. We were indeed happy to spend a week in Pullman Sochi Center and would like to express our deepest gratitude. The staff in the hotel was extremely friendly and supportive. Each and every request was fulfilled almost immediately. The facilities met our expectations and the pull was just extraordinary recreational zone. Also, the gym with the outstanding view was convenient and well equipped, we enjoyed our morning workouts, as well as cozy hammam and sauna. Although, there were a few things still having space for development. First of all, the reception managers’ outfits were inappropriate. Their uniform looked cheap and ancient, with dirty collars and strands sticking out the seams! Given the staff at the desk being professional, that looks made great deal of questions. Also, there were no lights in the closet. The phone in the room worked with a speaker only. And the drawers’ locks in men’s dressing room were completely broken. All of them. Quite strange details for 5 star hotel with the certain price list. So with respect and gratitude for our staying, we have to stress there are some improvement needed to maintain the 5 stars status of this...
Read moreRead negative reviews carefully, as I do not understand why there are so many positive reviews praising location. "Close to the beach" in this case means right above bars and dance clubs, which play extremely loud music EVERY night until 2am. Before I booked, I read one comment concerning this problem but dismissed it. I payed dearly for this mistake - my vacation was ruined. Every evening the banging noise from the beach was so unbearable that I could not hear the TV in my room with the windows closed. Sleeping was out of the question until 2am. I was among many guests who complained to managers. These managers are very well trained to smile and say something along the lines written below as a response to negative comments: "Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address all mentioned problems and prevent future occurrence. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future." ||They would repeat it day after day, but I kept suffering without sleep night...
