His cuisine expertise is totally being over looked & wasted . Management, please consider expanding your take-away menu to include Mr France specialities such as 100% authentic Creole bouillon brede ( a delicious entree, soup), or his authentic Creole vegetarian lentil creamy soup creation and Banana cake Swiss Rolls.

*Accommodation: Renovations to come Bonus: highly, highly recommend the daily breakfast menu ( provided at a fee) which is filled with great buffet options!

*Location quiet tranquil area ! secure off the street parking, easy 400 metres walk to Beau Vallon beach! Bonus: Bus Stop located around the corner from the Hotel, near the “Grub” supermarket , a few minutes walk.

*Convenience Stores: Nearby there are two large supermarkets, two local small shops, a pharmacy & three money exchangers all within 10 minute walk from each other!

*Dining options: As at August 2025, adjoining restaurants include: Chinese, Creole, Pizza, & Indian cuisine .All nearby, walking distance, with some less than 1 minute walk away!

*Transport Don’t have a hire car, no worries, take a very affordable Blue Bus! In August 2025, one way trip costs only 10 Seychelles rupees, however, you have to use a pre-paid Bus card, no cash accepted! The Bus Stop is located an easy 3 minute walk from Coco Dor Hotel! (Beau Vallon Bus Route include: Bus 20 or Route 22 Circular Service or Route 24) The Buses operate approximately every 15 to 30 minutes week days!

I stayed there for 6 days. I will.writr this review in pure honesty, and i will divide it into three sections: Rooms, Service and Location.

ROOMS

Unfortunately, I encountered 4 main issues in my room. One of the toilets did not work. It was broken. There was no water in the tank to flush. The bulb in one of the restroom did not light as there was no bulb itself. The shower rod was too short, hence, your body rubs to the wall. Beware, the hotel does not store water in case the water stops. If the authority halts water supply during certain time of the day, you will not get water at all. It happened to me between 2pm to 5pm.

However, the positive sides, you have a nice refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi, a small kitchen with kettle, air conditioner, and materials like soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit and shower gel. Rating: 5/10.

SERVICES

There is no porter. One of the personels in the restaurant is not welcoming. However, the rest of the staff was superb. The receptionist takes care of you well. Rating: 8/10.

LOCATION

The hotel is close to 4 supermarkets, 2 ATM, 3 restaurants, 1 car rental, 1 money changer, and 3 bustops. Rating: 9/10.

Siamo tornati da pochi giorni dalle Seychelles. Un viaggio programmato con la nostra Agenzia di fiducia Puntonelmondo di Roma. Non conoscendo il posto e con un po’ di apprensione dopo aver letto qualche recensione, abbiamo prenotato al COCO d’OR di Mahè (Seychelles).||E’ doveroso precisare che non si tratta di Savoy, Coral Strand o strutture simili, contestualizzare il tutto in un paese con standard diversi dai nostri, eppure lo abbiamo scoperto come ottimo Hotel; come scritto nel titolo, merita appieno l’appellativo di Hotel e non semplice guesthouse.||Per cominciare è sulla strada principale quella che porta alla spiaggia di Beau Vallon (a detta di molti, una delle migliori), da lì inizia un percorso pedonale sempre animato di bancarelle, dove si vendono alimenti e souvenirs, piena di turisti e gente del posto impegnata a sentire musicaapalla e bere birra a volontà! Gente tranquilla e molto educata, sugli autobus, molto ma molto malandati, non mancava mai qualcuno che offrisse il posto a sedere. Tra l’altro, il biglietto per l’autobus è l’unica cosa che costa poco alle Seychelles (5 rupie), per il resto tutto carissimo, dai taxi (circa 50 euro aeroporto–hotel, poco importa che si tratti di 12 km) o le taxi-boath (che chiedono circa 10, 15 euro per piccoli tratti).||Ma torniamo alla struttura: sviluppa su una superficie abbastanza grande, avendo visto di persona altre situazioni recettive che si trovano su internet, credo sia l’unica ad avere una, se pur piccola, piscina, un giardino curato e una veranda o balcone per ogni stanza. La pulizia delle camere è stata sempre eccellente e puntuale, così come il cambio della biancheria del letto, del bagno o la fornitura di teli da mare gratuiti.||Il Personale del Coco d’Or sempre tutto molto educato, gentile e premuroso.||La colazione è compresa nel prezzo…e non è cosa da poco, visti i prezzi in giro.||Non abbiamo provato il ristorante, ma sembra sia uno dei migliori dell’isola.||PS. Un consiglio che può sembrare stupido ma se volete evitare qualche cena fuori a base di pizza (abbastanza cara e poco pizza) o i take-away (diffusissimi anche tra la popolazione locale, personalmente credo che nessuno cucini ma prendano tutti tutto pronto), e preferite mangiare sul tavolo in giardino davanti alla vostra stanza, mettete in valigia pane in cassetta, formaggio, tonno, piadine e per parte del soggiorno risolvete così.||Se vi piace passeggiare, dal ristorante la Scala a Bel Ombre, non molto distante da Beau Vallon, parte il sentiero che porta ad Anse Major, una bella spiaggia dove potete trovare corallo e pesci e la famosa taxi-boath per il ritorno se vorrete evitare 1,5 km di sentiero sulla montagna (occorrono scarpe adatte).||Altro consiglio e finisco: portatevi una piccola torcia elettrica, la sera le strade non sono ben illuminate e non ci sono i marciapiedi. ||Per il resto, sperando di aver detto cose utili, buone vacanze...
