Pleasant accommodation, comfortable and sufficient beds, luxurious breakfast and dinner - keep the cook! The rooms are cozy and clean. Just clean the ventilation grilles here and there in the bathroom and toilet. Windows and balconies are perfectly soundproofed, as are the corridor and other rooms. Before boarding, check that the balcony door can be opened and closed comfortably. I missed the phone book in the room. The phone didn't even have a tone. The route recommendation in the book in the room was excellent. I would add values for untrained individuals and families with children plus a version in EN language, it will probably help foreigners. Overall satisfaction. The fact that they don't give it much at the reception is probably a question of personnel selection in this location. What surprised us is the payment for basic drinks at dinner. Water with lemon was not included in the price either. And then paying for parking. It's just an increase in the price of a hotel stay. The municipal authority does not require such a fee - verified. I park on the premises of the hotel, I did not expect this payment yet. In view of the fact that the staff was unable to understand twice the order to preheat the infrared sauna for me because I know from experience that it takes a few tens of minutes to get from 30°C to 60°C, so it was still turned off. The cooling jacuzzi was a soup of water from previous visitors. no one changed or cleaned it before the arrival of new clients. In the SPA, give up on the infrared sauna and rather just shower with ice water, it is more hygienic. When they fine-tune the SPA and details such as: that asking for the price of a drink is not an order, that Zubačka is not a train and has completely different departure times, or say the room number 3 times and they still write it down wrong. Then it will be a really good hotel, yes, and the parking fee is really...
Read moreWe have been staying there for a 1 night and overall we had a bad experience for money we have paid. 2 positives were size of the room and view and location but the rest wasn't good at all. started on reception, then broken hairdryer ( 11 phone calls and no one picked the phone , so my boyfriend went down and there was a massive queue so we understood that they are really busy so that's why they are not picking the phone, which is understandable, in the end They sent me hairdryer into the room which only had a cold air ( i know how to use a different hairdryers :) ) , we wanted to use the sauna and spa but we were told is too busy so we had to go to the neighbor hotel and we spent another 30 euro there so that made us to pay almost 150e all together :( In the morning we went to get a breakfast and I couldn't believe that the rolls and typical czech/slovak pastry ( I am originally from czech republic ) was dry, old and just not nice, wanted to show to my irish boyfriend nice czech slovak cousine but couldn't as everything was cold or old and we just went to have a breakfast to FURKOTKA which is amazing place just a few metres from the hotel, Highly recommending this place for food, atmosphere and personal :)||wifi wasn't working either there||ALso we have booked the massage there and receptions made a mistake and booked us half an hour earlier and then she was a little rude, we were 100% sure about the time as we asked twice, then the massage guy (which was amazing) told us that's typical in this hotel ||We will never go back to this hotel but if you are there don't...
Read moreWe were re-directed to the Crocus because the hotel that we had originally booked, changed the owner and was closed unexpectedly. So we arrived in Crocus already unhappy and suspicious. However, we found a nice, well maintained hotel, and enjoyed our very short break here. The Crocus is located just a bit outside the tiny center of Zakopane, less than 15 minutes of walking - but you have some supermarkets and a pharmacy in just 5 minute walking from the hotel. From the other hand, we were just 100 m from a bus stop: a five-minute ride at 3 zloty only, and we were at Kuznice cable car. Kuznice is the starting point for many hiking trails, so for us the location of Crocus hotel was excellent. Our room N105 was very spacious, as well as the bathroom; everything well maintained and clean. I would say that the size of TV was a bit ridiculous for such a big room: for instance, you can hardly watch it comfortable from the bed - but it wasn't an issue for us. The room has a small fridge - mini-bar, a safe, two chairs and a table. We liked it all. No A/C in rooms, and the days were quite hot (33C) - however, the room was not hot and we slept well. We used hotel's SPA only once - the hotel has a good (and hot!) sauna, a swimming pool and offer some SPA tretments. ||One special mention deserves Krzysztotof, the receptionist. We needed his friendly and very helpful suggestions about the hiking trails and rules, so our short break was very nice - and the hiking in Zakopane...
