Closed slide and rude staff. The main reason for us to visit this viewing tower was the large slide advertised on their website vezasnov.sk. There was no information on the website that the slide is closed on that day. When we asked at the ticket desk why was there no information about the slide being closed on the website, both the assistant and his supervisor were rude, arguing that their general terms and conditions include a clause giving them a right to close the slide. Another argument was that the weather is bad - it was 15 degrees Celsius, sunny/partly cloudy, no rain, no wind. No apology, no customer oriented approach. Never again! Which is a shame because other services in Tatras...

The parking fee is 15eur a day, the tower with cable car to the top of mountain is 26 eur, and for this price there nothing special. The tower view is nothing good, you can see the same mountain top as you can from the ground and you have limited time to be on the tower. The top of the mountain when you go up with cable car is also nothing much if you dont do the hike to the top. So overall I think its not worth the money, much better experience was in Bachledka walk and tower and also cost less.

Skip the tower and go for the hikes around this place. The views from waterfall and lakes...

Tatra Tower – Easy Access, Spectacular Views

Located near Štrbské Pleso, Tatra Tower offers breathtaking views of the High Tatras and the lake itself. The adult ticket costs €13 – not the cheapest, but considering the experience, it’s worth it.

What really convinced us to go was the accessibility – there are no stairs. Instead, you walk up a gently sloping spiral ramp all the way to the top. It’s stroller-friendly, which makes it a great choice for families with small children. The views from the top are really impressive and definitely make it a memorable stop during a visit...

The tower is yet another blott on the beautiful landscape together with the disused steel and plastic ski jumping towers. It's best described as a disappointing over engineered children's climbing frame and slide. Which has a small piece of glass on the top deck to look at the ground below, and a safety net to walk across with no real view below. You can easily find far superior views from the top of local ski lifts or free to hike or bike mountain trails as I found in the surrounding area. The structure serves no logical purpose?
