Hotel Expo — Hotel in Bratislava

Thieves. Complete fraud. They stole 350 EUROS from my deposit.

I lived in this residence for 9 months. I never had any problem with the staff, and I always respected the rules of accommodation. The last day of my stay I did the check out with a responsible of the residence and they said everything was fine and I would have my deposit (350 euros) reimbursed in the following days. Four months later I didn't receive any money, I tried to talk with them and they never reply the phone calls. After several emails I received an answer from the manager saying that they would keep my deposit cause the state of the room was "extremely unclean", which is absolutely FALSE (find attached pics of my room the day I left, just before the check out). The email said that they had to change the carpet for a cost of 450 euros, which is again FALSE, I checked my room with people who are living there right now and the carpet is exactly the same that I left; it was just an excuse to keep the money of the deposit. I told them by email that all these damages were false, and of course, they didn't reply... I can't understand how the manager ANDREJ RALBOVSKY is able to steal money from students that really need it in a complete fraud.

In conclusion, Incheba Residence WILL TRY TO STEAL YOUR MONEY WITH ANY EXCUSE. Some other residents from last year are suffering exactly the same situation, Student Residence stole 350 euros as deposit and they didn't inform about anything until almost 4 months later, when we're back at home and there's nothing you can do. I am writing this review based on my stay at the Expo Hotel on May 30, 2024. The rooms were almost spotless. Basic amenities are provided in your room, making the check-in process hassle-free. The location is also very close to the city. However, I rate this hotel as one of the last destinations if you plan to sleep at night. There is a student dormitory next to this hotel. I slept barely two hours because of all the noises here, and I was staying on the fifth floor. They were constantly singing after the booze party from the balcony of the dormitory. The staff was almost emotionless when asked about the situation. They concluded that it is a norm here, which was quite disappointing.

Positive aspects Spotless room (But not a star level in my opinion) Basic amenity kit. It is a relatively good location due to its proximity to the city and cheap taxi service.

Negatives

Regular student parties could sometimes take a violent turn (Based on a fight I witnessed) It was impossible to sleep at night due to the heavy sounds (It almost felt like a disco inside my room). Poor (1.25 / 10 ) customer service in every aspect.

Nice hotel but I have some things to say for first timers out there: Parking is good (€6,-/ day in front of the hotel) but it's complicated to get in and out. When you arrive at the location you'll find yourself standing in front of a barrier, press on the "ticket" button to get in. Press it alot because it won't give you a ticket when you press it the first time so don't give up. The lady takes away the ticket and gives you a A4 paper you have to put in the windshield of your car. When you leave the hotel you have to scan the A4 paper I front of the device so it openes the barrier. It doesn't work so try harder, call the office, wave the paper some more and it'll eventually work and open up so you can leave. Front desk lady doesn't speak English well so keep your questions to yourself If you visit during the hottest summer days make sure to bring a fan otherwise you'll suffer greatly. This was by far the hottest room we've ever slept in. You can try to open the window to let in some fresh air but the air doesn't flow in because of the weird infrastructure, so the room never cools off during the night. Great hotel over all, the fridge was very big, the TV worked, the room was beautiful and so was the bathroom. We'll visit again...
