I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly unacceptable. I’ve tried multiple times to dine at this restaurant, only to find out—each time—that they’re closed for private events, with no update anywhere on their opening hours. Calling ahead seemed like the responsible thing to do, so I did just that. I spoke to someone who confirmed we could come for lunch at 3 PM that day.
To our shock, when we arrived around 1 PM, we were rudely turned away by what I can only describe as the most unprofessional and unpleasant waitress I’ve ever encountered. Instead of handling the situation with courtesy or an apology, she made sarcastic comments and laughed at us—as if we were the problem for trusting the information they gave us.
There is no excuse for such behavior, and it’s clear this restaurant has no respect for its customers’ time or experience. Between the lack of communication, the consistent misinformation, and the staff’s outright rudeness, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere that...
Read moreI can't help but love this place, this is where we got married - so with that bias in tow, let me say a few more words:
The staff are insanely friendly and accommodating! There is a woman waiter in particular who, for the 3 times we've been there has been assigned to our table. She has been patient with our disorganized native speakers (sometimes this doesn't happen, haha), friendly, and so cool! One of our party has a severe allergy, and she made extra sure that the dish was safe!
The food, delicious! It's a bit more on the pricy side, but if you have that in mind, you'll be good to go
Most importantly: the atmosphere. I mean, who doesn't want to enjoy a meal in a beautiful place looking at the castle from a park? It's a great place to "feel" like you are in Bratislava.
Keep up the good work!
*Also, on the note of big events, they were professional, hardworking, and they set up the venue so beautifully! They even allowed us to negotiate about what we would do. Love these guys! It's a perfect place to...
Read moreRead moreCabbage soup, ox tail soup and carrot soup were nice. The brynzove halusky (potoe dumplings with goat cheese are the best ones in Bratislava (tried in about 20 other places) and they can make them gluten free too!! The lamb, fois gras.. well everything was rrally nice and the service was great but the one thing that was not so great was the schnitzel - it was nice and crunchy but very salty - and it woulf have been ok if it came with a cold potatoe salad thats sweeter but the cold salad served with it was fused with bacon which made the cold salad very salty too - hence the schnitzel meal was very salty and we were (two of us had it) feeling thirsty for the next 5 hours (despite the amount of water we drank). Otherwise really nice - amazing gluten free bread and other options and great service accompanied with amazing views of the castle :) will def...
