Overall hotel neet for the price paid and that it. I spent there 2 days on NYE and it was horrible. Ok first day restaurant is open until 10 I came down at 9:30 and I was not able to order any food. So went hungry that night. Second day a basic ok breakfast but when approached the guy jumped like I was there to nick something, no tact whatsoever. Secondly, on the second day went down to have a dinner but at 13:00 the kitchen was closed ! Again on 31 any restaurant in the city was closed so I was eating bloody sandwiches from petrol station on NYE that made this worst NYE ever ! So if you like to eat don't pick this hotel. Secondly gym is like few kids put some equipment together and came once and left it. Spa very basic with not go again to SPA in slovakia as old really old women going naked is was out of thriller movies. But that has I guess have to do with just behaviour of people in Slovakia so not a hotel fault. Moreover waiting for warm water took around 10-15min to have. So again if you have a quick shower avoid. TV only german and slovakian folk channels. Overall for a budget hotel if you have to sleep somewhere in Hummene then ok. Otherwise not...
Read moreFirst, I must say that a never have left a bad review. This is my first one.
Negatives: The room was very hot when we arrived. I turned on the air conditioning to max and it never cooled the room. I left it on all night and the room was still hot. We had some expensive chocolates and the next morning it was all melted so we threw them away. We could not get any sleep because it was so hot.
I opened a window and this just caused bugs to get in to the room.
The room was also pretty messy. Cracks and stains on the wall, messy fixtures and lights in the bathroom.
Positives: Friendly staff who spoke to us in English.
The breakfast was also nice and reasonably priced. Though the bacon and klobasa was not replenished. It remained empty for some time.
Summary: We probably won't stay in this hotel again. While it looks modern and trendy, I don't think it is worth the price we paid. I think they should have a little less emphasis on being cool and concentrate their efforts on improving...
Read moreWe were told to stay here when we visited eastern Slovakia and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. On the way home we spent a night in NYC and the Ali Baba was by far a better hotel! Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. My reservation was waiting with no problems. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was outstanding. The hotel is an easy walk from the train and bus station and basically right across the street from the main 'center of town' shopping and entertainment area. I needed to make a local call and the staff were very friendly, helping me get connected to my contact. I can't say enough good about this hotel, it made our stay in Humenne and...
