Hotel Janosik — Hotel in Liptovský Mikuláš

Absolutely tragic place to stay in. Quality of hotel itself together with restaurant is 2 star not 4. Going to restaurant for dinner was horrible mistake. Half of that was ,,booked,, just because the waiting stuff could not be bothered to walk around whole place. That proved tobě true next morning when it was again ,,half booked,, with signs of reserved on table while there was noone allowed to sit. I would understand that if all the rest of ,,available,, tables can be used but unfortunately they very covered with mess and dirty dishes after previous customers. Staff did not looked like they are bothered to clean them up and reset with next covers. With regards to quality of food I would better go to next door pub where they know better how to prepare 4star hotel/restaurant dish. It was oversalted impossible to eat salmon tartare steak covered in ??fried Slovak stringy cheese??, must say one of best ways how you can screw good quality salmon or beef, good job 👏. Main dish, was trout filet, with oversalted rice croquettes, I assume someone was trying to make miniature arancini but it turned into small salt balls, lovely. Not mentioning that waiting staff literally didn't give f*. You had to wave at that to get any attention to order. This place is just one of the biggest mistakes in this area, price of food and accommodation is absolutely ridiculous compare to quality you get. It is much more worthy to drive few more miles over the Polish borders and stay there, you will get royal service...

We booked 2 rooms, 3 nights. 4 star hotel - poor, not suitable for 1 star. No air conditioning, very hot, you can't stay with an open window, since a lot of mosquitoes come in (pictures attached). Breakfast: one day we were limited until 9:00 in the morning because of a wedding in the evening, that is: "fly out early from the dining room", on the third day many things were missing in the dining room, the bread was dry!, we kept asking to bring things for the meal, and this is a 4 star hotel . The hotel is dark, you enter the corridor - you have exactly 1 minute to get to the room, otherwise the light goes out. Not suitable for older people and not at all suitable as a hotel, maybe as a simple road hotel. By the way, we received 2 ventilators after a request, one small (suitable for a car) and the other large. The staff - which consisted of one lady was very kind. The first night - in one of the rooms it was not possible to open the window, so we got another room instead, Saute, for which we paid another 40 Euros!, yes yes... "special price". In short, not...

I had a train departing from the station at 2:00 on the night and the train station building was closing 22:40. The temperature was -5 C and dropping and my 15 year old brother and i (18) were not dressed for such weather. I asked if we could wait those 3 hours in the lobby since it was getting cold and it was very dark. The lady behind the counter said that since we don't have a room, she can't help us. I explained that my brother and i were going to sit in -10 C for 3 hours otherwise, and if i asked why she couldn't let us wait, she got really rude.
