It was my very first time trying Slovak food, and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered fries, fish with potatoes, a Coke, fries with ketchup and garlic sauce, and also a traditional dish of chicken with bread pieces 🐔🍞 — everything was full of flavor and perfectly prepared.

But what really makes this place unforgettable are the people. The staff, especially Martin and Vladyslav, were outstanding 🌟. Their kindness, professionalism, and warm attitude made us feel so welcome.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Liptovská izba.

I had the hunter’s goulash and it was simply unforgettable. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, clearly slow-cooked to perfection. The sauce was deep, rich, and beautifully balanced – I suspect a well-crafted demi-glace was involved.

What truly surprised me were the dumplings. I normally don’t go for them, but these were lightly pan-seared, fluffy on the inside, and perfect for soaking up every last drop of that amazing sauce. I caught myself wiping the bowl clean — and I never do that.

Yes, the prices are a bit above the local average — but it’s absolutely worth it. You’re paying for quality, and it shows in every bite.

The food was good, staff friendly, plenty of space. Interior was a bit like in a premium modern restaurant not in „tavern”, not traditionally as indicated by the meals on the menu. Speaking of the menu, it is an absolute chaos, one of the worst menus I have seen, too many dishes, a lot of wrong translations and requires specific study, what in my opinion the restaurant loses. The taste of the dishes was okay, so was the serving. To sum up - nothing outstanding, not the best food I have ever eaten or anything I will remember, but probably one of the best choices in the area.
