Do not even consider staying here. It is literally the worst hotel I have ever experienced for a number of reasons and I will never stay at another Garni hotel if the Garni group allows their name to be used by such awful people. The staff are the main reason for the terrible experience but the hotel itself is also horrible. The receptionist, Katerina, clearly should not work in hospitality because she shouted at my wife when asked some simple questions. There was another man working there who is also incredibly rude and slightly aggressive. On our first morning at the hotel we were woken up by loud music coming from a TV in the breakfast area next to our room. When I went to see where the noise was coming from, I found the entire hotel empty (no staff or guests). The TV was in the breakfast room which was locked and so I could not get to it to turn it off. When we saw Katerina and the other man later at around 11am, I asked why the TV had been turned on and Katerina stormed off while the man told me that I should be up by 9am. This didn't make sense to me as no-one was there so I asked why he needed the TV on but he just got aggressive and said we should be awake by then. Even though the website says that breakfast is included, we were told that they didn't serve breakfast until July and our visit was in June. He said that from July he would be turning on the TV from 7.30am. The room itself is horrible. The curtains do not cover the windows so it is really bright first thing in the morning. There are cushions provided for pillows which are very uncomfortable. It feels like an old people's home and the bathroom is like a disabled toilet facility. You have to pay in advance so we lost 2 night's money as we left the hotel after they made us feel totally unwelcome. You can only check in after 5pm and must check out by 10am. The whole thing feels like a scam. You have...

Read moreThe hotel is brand new, clean and the house lady is nice. Although there is a huge kichen downstars it is not allowed to cook there and there is no cooking possibility in the rooms where you have a small kitchenette. So make sure to bring cold food with you or/and pay for the buffet breakfast which is 8 eur/day/person. The lady in the apartment next to the hotel is quite rude, always tells you not to use the staircase at the back (fire stars going down from every floor) where is the parking lot which was interesting while packing (obviously you won't go around the whole hotel with huge luggages) and your keys only open the front door and the back door is always locked which is stupid. There were times where we could not go out of the building only through the window downstars because you only get 1 key for an apartment (even if you live in a 6 ppl apartment). Apart from these little inconveniences I recommend the place because it's very close to downtown and was fully rebuilt recently, the beds are good to sleep in and the bathroom is...
