We don't like using hotels for family holidays as we have children still not quite old enough to look after themselves and we like a place with space for them to go to sleep but still allow the adults somewhere to hang around without disturbing them.|Our chalet at Kronau was perfect because, since it was detached, we had confidence the kids could play reasonably without disturbing any other guests and it had enough space that once they'd gone to bed us parents could stay up talking without keeping the kids awake.|It's located near local shops so you can stock up on food and toiletries (self catering, and soap is not supplied) and is a pleasant five-minute walk to the centre of town. Slightly further away but on a lovely route is Lake Jasna, where you can enjoy the scenery or even some paddle boarding.|Dejn was a lovely host who not only looked after our needs but was also ever mindful of making sure different groups of guests respected each others' needs too.|We had a lovely garden with space for private outdoor eating and the cooking facilities are similar to what you'd expect in...

I knew my reservation ($1300+) was nonrefundable and acknowledged that, but in addition I simply suggested that if they managed to rent the accommodation to someone else, would they consider refunding?||||I didn't really expect a refund, but was surprised by the rudeness of the response. Dejan accoused me of not being "serious" when I made the reservation and that "any excuse is just a personal matter."||||There are a lot more polite ways of...
Read moreHave just come back from a 7 night stay at Kronau, and absolutely loved it. The chalet resort location is fab.It is quiet/peaceful,yet is only only a short stroll into town, and there’s a supermarket at the end of the road to stock up on food and essentials.Loved having our own little garden terrace to sit out in,and the beds were so so comfy. For anyone wondering,a car isn’t essential for Kranjska Gora, as many brilliant walks nearby, and also regular buses from town. We’ve seen some fantastic sights this week, and haven’t even scratched the surface.Dejan was a lovely welcoming host and we hope to...
