Shanghai - kitajska restavracija — Restaurant in Kranjska Gora

Dining here was quite the experience. I went with 2 of my friends and we enjoyed the food very much. The hot and sour soup was probably the best i’ve ever eaten. I ordered fried rice noodles with veggies and it wasn’t greasy like i’m used to which was great. The rest of the food was amazing too. I gave that 5 stars… But the service was kind of odd. The waitresses slovene was very very good (it’s usually not in chinese restaurants) so i’m sure she has no trouble speaking english too. She was kind and talkative, but something came up. Our order on the starters got messed up and when we asked to get the dumplings that we ordered she told us “the squid is very good! you should try it, you won’t be disappointed, trust me!” which was kind of weird. She wouldn’t get us the food we ordered after messing up..? When we finished, we said we wanted to have some of the rice that was left packed and she insisted on us taking the rest of the chicken too. That was after we told her we were going to take a long bus ride and we couldn’t take it with us. (because bringing foods that have a strong scent on a bus isn’t pleasant!!) After eating Slovenian / Italian food for more than a week, we craved for Asian food. Found this restaurant via Google and was so happy with it that we came to eat dinner here 3 times during our 5 nights at Kranjska Gora. The location is somewhat further from the centre, but it’s easily reachable around 8-10 mins walking. It’s a pity that seemed to be not too many people know about this place. Everytime we were there we were the only one eating in, although we did eat later around 20.30ish. Food was quickly made, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended: Duck hot plate (still maintains its crispy skin even though it was drenched in a delicious sauce), Mongolian mixed meat (meat is super tender, perhaps a tad more salt/spices to deepen the flavor but nevertheless still delicious). Employees are nice and courteous. Portion is good and well priced. Would really recommend anyone visiting Kranjska Gora to try...

O M G...I am visiting Kranjska gora with my family once a year for almost 25 years and during every trip we visit this restaurant at least one time. One thing I can surely say is that the food quality (which is phenomenal) is on the same level all these years...simply amazing. The waitress is kind, caring, patient and peacefully mannered.
