HOTEL CENTER — Hotel in Novo Mesto

Having just arrived I can honestly say that this is a extremely pleasant hotel. The room, although small,has everything you could need. The bar/ restaurant is really well set out with the dining area above the bar. There is a pleasant patio area for any sun worshippers/smokers. The gentleman who was running reception spoke very good English( thankfully as my Slovenian is a bit rusty!) and he couldn't be more helpful. A bit of a hidden gem really. However, and there always is one there is a lot of redesigning going on in Novo Mesto spot is not easy to get to the hotel as Sat nav takes you all over the place and if you miss the last, unmentioned, turning you go round in circles as the GPS points you at a parking area that although it belongs to the hotel it is not signed. Getting to reception is a bit of a nightmare as it is not signed from the car park. Please do not let these issues ever putting you off coming here as once all the work is completed I am sure that the hotel will be as much, if not more, popular. A...

My wife and I stayed here with the Edelweiss Bike Travel Adriatic Roller Coaster Extreme tour in June 2108. About 15 of us showed up dripping wet all over the lobby after riding thru the rain to get here but that didn't seem to bother the staff and check-in was quite pleasant and efficient. Our room was quite roomy, very modern, and had two large televisions. I was quite impressed and don't see how anybody could complain about their room. After a warm shower we headed to the (busy) bar and the good service continued. Because we were an pre-arranged group we had a buffet dinner and nobody could find fault with the food. Likewise, breakfast was very good, with a large selection of well presented food. I cannot comment on parking because the hotel arranged parking for our motorcycles on the premises. I gave just 4 stars because the hotel is very good, but the cleanig service is the worst. Excellent rooms, but the bathrooms are not cleaned realy good, I changed two rooms, and the same story. The bathtub had traces of old soap, was pee on the toilet and I found hair on the tiles. When i told them this... were very affected. I request some cleanig products, because I can't use the bath like this, and I solve the problem. The breakfast is amazing... realy amazing, everything looks tasty and it is!
