Hotel & Restaurant pri Belokranjcu — Restaurant in Novo Mesto

I strongly advise against staying with this host. I was charged the full price for two rooms that were not provided. I was traveling from Switzerland with my disabled mother, and we chose this place for an overnight stay to rest during a long journey.

Throughout the trip, I kept the host informed about our progress on the road, explaining that unforeseen traffic delays would cause us to arrive later than expected. The host assured me that the delay was fine and there would be no issue. However, when we reached Ljubljana—just 20 minutes away from the property—the host abruptly informed me that he would not wait for us after all.

I want to emphasize that we had an agreement regarding the delayed check-in, and I never canceled the reservation. Despite this, I was charged the full price for both rooms, leaving us stranded and deeply disappointed.

This was an extremely unprofessional and unfair experience, and I would not recommend booking...

Nice quiet place with really nice, warm and helpful staff near the main road and in walking distance of Novo mesto city center. Personally i very much like their food and consider their fried calamari (squids) and "Ljubljana" steak (Cordon bleu) best in Novo mesto city. Daily soups are very tasty and usually there is also seasonal offer where some one must really try traditional Slovenian winter food. If pre ordered they will bake "Belokranjska pogača" which is traditional sort of bread from Bela krajina region if Slovenia.

A la carte offer is a bit small so if considering about a multiple visits you can run out of fresh meal options or ideas. Also some times might happen you won't get a drink of your desire or way...

We spent a night here, we are a cycling team from Italy who stayed at this hotel for the Adria bike race. It was SO good! Everything - the rooms were a good size, quiet, clean and had tea and coffee facilities, the restaurant was perfect and breakfast was a great selection, car parking right there and amazing location. And on top of that really really good staff! So helpful, all English speaking and really professional. And the location is perfect too! You’re in the old town centre within 10 minutes of an easy walk!! Definitely recommend and hope to stay again...
