Kralj Matjaž Novo mesto — Restaurant in Novo Mesto

Ordered a matured steak, after asking about the weight of the steak, the waitress (I don't know her name, she was wearing glasses) told me that it was possible to order only a 1 kg piece, which was actually portioned for two hungry people - the waitress claimed it was for one, but later it turned out that they had a smaller piece as well because it was ordered by someone by the next table, they did not offer us a choice. When ordering there was no question about how the steak was to be cooked - I assumed it would be medium, but it turns out that it was cooked "rare", and the most disappointing was that at least half of the meat I got was so chewy that it was impossible to eat. One of the worst steaks I have ever eaten, despite the price being 80 euro, the service and preparation was sub-standard (my fault for not refusing the dish). I left more than half of the steak/chewy meat that could not be eaten, I took it with me as proof of what I have written - as can also be seen in the attached picture. Very dissapointed by the uninterested...

Was looking forward to this pizza but unfortunately our party was quite disappointed. Rude staff and pizzas not even close to the quality they're advertising. We were shocked the pizzas were quite tasteless, from dough (though the best feature of the pizza) to the meat to the cheese and for this the price is one of the highest we ever paid for a pizza - up to 14 eur! To top it off, the amount of toppings was quite poor even for the artisan pizza standards. We were left feeling...

Dana 30.3.2024. oko 16h sam došao sa suprugom u ugostiteljski objekat Kralj Matjaž koji se nalazi na glavnom trgu pitoresknog gradića Novo Mesto. Namjera nam je bila objedovati, jer smo inaće današnji dan odredili za jednodnevni izlet u istočnom dijelu Slovenije. Dan je bio lijep, ljudi koje smo susretali bili su vrlo ljubazni i susretljivi i mi smo se nakon Otočca na Krki uputili u Novo Mesto. Prošetali smo mjestom i uputili smo se na objed u pizzeriu Kralj Matjaž. S obzirom da je počelo puhati odlučili smo se sjesti u zatvoreni dio pizzerije u kojem smo mi trebali biti jedini gosti. Na terasi su bila popunjena samo 3 stola, dakle nije bilo nikakve gužve. Pitali smo muškog konobara gdje možemo sjesti, a on nas je pitao koliko nas ima. Naš odgovor je bio dvoje, a on je nato rekao da možemo isključivo sjesti za uski stolić predviđen za dva gosta. Kako je taj stolić bio vrlo uzak, a u restoranu nije bilo gostiju zamolili smo da sjednemo za veće stol za 4 osobe. Konobar, koji je inaće od prvog kontakta bio neljubazan, ponovio je bezobrazno da možemo sjesti samo za uski stol za 2 osobe. Mi smo se okrenuli, otišli na toalet koji je bio vrlo neuredan i prljav, i otišli van. Dakle, pizzeriu Kralj Matjaž ne bih preporučio stvarno nikome dok god tu radi taj bezobrazan i neljubazan konobar!!! I tko zna kaj bi još od njega doživjeli da smo uspjeli naručiti objed?!?! Kako jedna osoba može čovjeku pokvariti cijeli ugođaj...
