Hotel Aleksander Medical & SPA — Hotel in Rogaška Slatina

The hotel is wonderfully presented, as are the rooms. Is it a five star hotel? Yes. The food is of the fine dining standard. However, I would caution anyone thinking of booking here. DON’T. The Manager (calling himself a chief executive) is dishonest to say the least. Prior to booking I asked (specifically) if there would be any construction noise during our stay. The answer I got “Definitely not” all in email! When we arrived all we could hear was construction noise. The hot tub was out of order (always yellow) for each of the full days were there. Maintenance staff walked into our room without knocking (or without notice). The toilet didn't flush. For €1600 for accommodation only – more than €530 per night, this is not acceptable. It was a special occasion - hence splashing out. When we complained we were continuously told: “You’ve had a discount already.” This is the biggest load of rubbish ever. We agreed a discounted room prior to staying as it was end of season – this was not including the fact there was so much construction noise etc. We wouldn’t have even paid €10 euros per night had we known. I would also question the legitimacy of the medical treatments on offer. It seemed to me and my wife, that every aliment you might have was cured with ‘the magic water’, or far fetched treatments costing hundreds of euros. The manager and ‘doctor’ did by the way, corner us in a boardroom trying to sell this overpriced rubbish under the guise of a 'medical'…it was pressure tactics to say the least and yet we were there to enjoy...

I am guest from, Singapore and was staying in hotel Aleksander in late October 2021. This is the most beautiful hotel I have stayed with awesome architecture of ptrviously a palace dated about 160 years old. The vi ews from Penthouse balcony is so spectacular with scenic mountains to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunset with relaxing sound of nature.. The hotel service is excellent with very friendly and professional staff providing top class services down to fine detail. I was charmed by fine dining cuisine of Slovenia recipe with fresh organic food and unforgettable toast of fine wine to good healt. As I am in wellness and nutrition education; I am very Impressed with range medical programme, wellness and Spa. Great place for me to rejuvenate our body towards optimal health. Hotel is very well complemented with lots trees in surrounding parks and mountain hiking trails providing ver fresh air and good ions which is beneficial to my well-being. I have been searching for good water and was thrilled to drink fresh water with magnesium & minerals which is pumped directly from underground at about 1 km depth- Daily consumption of this water helps me to detox, relax muscles & blood vessels and boost my energy. I look forward to visit hotel...
