This is a good hotel. No doubt. Room is good, location is good, breakfast is excellent. ||My only real problem was the in-room fridge (which was empty), and which didn't work. I reported the issue to reception immediately, and reminded them later. Nothing happened and that was a disappointment.||Also - this is typical of Slovenia - when I checked out the manager didn't accept my credit card telling me the reader is broken, and asked me to pay cash. I told him I didn't have cash and didn't have time (or want) to make a trip to the ATM. Suddenly, a working reader appears from under the reception with no comments. This is typical in this country, where credit card surcharges for the companies are apparently large. Not a problem of this...

Our friends were staying at the čeligo residence in Lucija-Portorož and they suggested us to have a dinner there because they have a new, young chef, who is very creative. We decided for 3 course chefs menu and made a reservation for table for 6. When we walked into the restaurant it was more than surprise. Very nice ambient, decorated with high raste. The waiter was friendly and he preneted every dish in detail. The wine we choose was excelent (Istenič sparkling wine for start and Malvazija from Babič). The photos of the food speak for themselves.
