Hirondelle @ 45 Old Paarl — Hotel in Bellville

I cancelled my booking on looking at the facilities. I booked two rooms for a couple, myself and two children aged 2 and 4. When i booked i contacted the owner to enquire on the facilities as i was going to take care of the children whilst my daughter was going to be admitted for major surgery. I needed a place that was safe for the children to play obviously under my supervision. The owner told me that he had a beautiful garden. Firstly there was no covid19 protocols observed. The floors in the rooms were not clean, there was hair on the floor. The rooms were opposite each other with a foyer with ironing boards and cables in the floor. Tye entrance to the apartments had used ear buds and was not swept. The garden was the back yard with rubbish bins that had fallen over. The grass was overgrown. I immediately cancelled and had to find alternative acconnodation at the same price with better and cleaner facilities. The owner disputes my review stating that i was unreasonable. And i did not receive my refund!!!

Hello Mali, your review is unfair and unrealistic. I strongly dispute this. The ironing board is just the right placement. The cables you saw are iron cables. You were the only one complaining, your partner was quiet. Our presumption was strongly that you were too ash with your comments. Totally misrepresented on the internet. Room in various states of disrepair, linen dirty, barely water pressure in the taps, broken tiles, no head boards, no bed lamps, no sugar, no milk. Back room through which one has to walk to get outside, was piled with a mountain of laundry. Next to a very busy street. Enyry and exit gate has no slope into the road and it is not clearly marked. Firstly we had a massive shock when we arrived at the place. The place was not what was advertised. The kitchen had a pile of dirty dishes with half cooked meals on the stove. The fridges in the kitchen were not clean and had a bit of an odour. Our rooms had sub-par beds and pillows with no additional blankets.

This seems like an overnight motel with people checking in at 23:00 at night.
