Fishaways Bellville — Restaurant in Bellville

If I could give this place a zero rating I would, I don't think fishaways even deserves 1 star. Not only did I wait a hour for my food (which was 2 medium calamaris), I was flat out ignored by the cashier as well as the manager (which seemed to be the only person running around frying food). After waiting for my food for almost a hour, I asked if they have started with my order. I was told it's in the fryer. After 5 more minutes, standing there watching the kitchen, I see the lady put my order in the fryer. I then requested a refund, but was ignored and the lady just turned her back on me. I ended up asking 2 more times and every time I got the same reaction. I then requested to speak to the manager, and got pointed in the direction of the lady busy frying,and then again, the cashier just turned her back on me. After raising my voice and demanding for the 3rd time, the manager came to the front. I was quickly given my food and I left, after being there for a hour. I got home only to find a few pieces in one box and even less in the other. I ended up driving all the way back, asking how many grams the calamari should be (200g)...the manager offered to weigh my calamari, only to come back saying the 1 was 150g and the other 180g...i paid a fortune for the calamari, waited a hour for my food (which resulted in the rest of my family's food being ice cold) I drove all the way home only to find a small portion of what my calamari should have been. After waiting for a hour, they still could not get my order correct. The staffs attitude is pathetic and I was clearly not the O ly frustrated customer there that night. I would never ever EVER recommend this place. I've been staying in Oakdale my whole life and since fishaways opened I always wondered why it was so empty and the other places so full......

I ordered online via the Mr. D's app, driver delivered the order before 1pm today, however, the size of the meal was half of what I ordered and immediately I lodged a complaint, "support" answered and I provided my reply and received no response, so, I sent another reply on top of my 1st reply, however, no answer even until now - +- 2hours later. I decided to phone at 14:47 - the "restaurant in question" and explained to them my situation and I was told, even if I ordered the large, I would get the same size (which I got I can't even say it's a medium sized meal I received today). Told them I paid for the large and received less than a medium size, I spoke to both Zuwena(cashier) and Ntombi and they relayed the same story. Ntombi stated that she will get back to me.. I waited and 3:35pm Linda called back informing me that the size i received is the same size everyone gets and she shall have to take it up with management. She took my details and stated that she shall have to get back to me once she receives feedback as they have plenty of complaints and losing customers. Told her that I am actually appalled by this and I will never order there again. Also told her that my colleagues and I loved ordering there but what I received today, is not on. She promised to get back to me, but she's not sure how long it will take.

I just want to lodge a complaint about my meal that I bought earlier. I ordered the new hake wrap for take away. When I got to work, I saw it’s a calamari wrap. Because my lunch was finish I couldn’t go back to exchange. So I was forced to eat it. To my disappointment, it was very dry no sauce. Just a lot of dry(not sure if old) lettuce and not even a full slice of tomato chopped very small. The cashier said there will be tomato sauce and sweet chilly sauce with the take away. Only got tomato sauce. I did ask for tartar sauce for my chips that I added. Said must pay extra,so ddnt bother. To expensive not sure why you don’t rather sell the sachets. Another strange thing – I’m not sure if the person preparing the meal was busy with her lunch but there was a piece of peanut butter bread/crumble in between.

I normally don’t write bad reviews, but really disguised at this very moment. I just had to go vomit...
