Ojong's Self-Catering Accommodation Bellville — Hotel in Bellville

Had a pretty DODGY EXPERIENCE with these people. I made a booking, with back and forth communication they requested my full names in order to send me the quote. As I was waiting on the quote they continue to say its been forwarded, never got the actual quote just a price! Thereafter, I told them I will be arriving 12am, will they wait up for me - They said they in operation 24/7.

After 7 hours of traveling, I arrived 3 am. I phoned the whatsApp number, the guy told me on the call that he will connect with the manager to open up. Few seconds later, he said we must ring the bell, his is sure that the manager will wake up because this person's phone is having difficulties but he was just talking to him not long ago. Meanwhile he is sending me photos confirming that he sees us in front of the gate. Not knowing the area and at that hour of the morning my husband hesitantly stepped out of the car and rang the bell. No one came!

After that I got a call from a different number and a different guy was speaking- saying he sees us in front of the gate. We should come over to Kuilsriver to the other guest house because there is no one there. And that I should have phoned an half an hour before the time. But they told me they operate 24/7!

I asked him again who is here at the guest house then he said the manager but he can't get a hold of him, but he will now try to call one of the guests. Like, you just said here's NO ONE?

I told him to call the guest and give me a call back. At that point we drove off. As a women in a wheelchair with a one year old baby, traveling for 7 hours it was not only an inconvenience but I felt unsafe being in CT where anything can happen at any time. And hearing that we must go to a different location that was not agreed on? They never phone back to hear if we okay, never apologized for the inconvenience. Definitely, NOOO...

I wish I had never booked Ojong’s Court Bellville. This place is a complete scam—the pictures online are highly misleading and do NOT reflect reality. The rooms are tiny, dirty, and nothing like the advertised images. The area feels unsafe, and overall, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

One of the biggest shocks? The bathroom was inside the main house, while my room was outside. This meant I had to walk outside, at night, just to use the bathroom—sharing it with complete strangers. This was never made clear before booking. How is this even acceptable? It felt unsafe, unsanitary, and beyond inconvenient.

To make matters worse, I had to cancel my booking, and the host flat-out refused to refund me. Even after Booking.com tried to step in, they completely ignored the request and refused to communicate. This is not just bad service—it’s dishonest and fraudulent behavior.

If you value your safety, hygiene, and hard-earned money, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They should be shut down for false advertising and for treating paying customers like this.

DO NOT STAY HERE – YOU WILL REGRET IT! The host was extremely unfriendly and had a terrible attitude. The rooms were dirty, and there was only one bathroom and two toilets shared by everyone. People were constantly coming and going, including many foreigners throughout the day and night. Loud music and partying continued until the early morning hours, mostly from the workers and their friends. It was impossible to rest. I would never stay here again and do not recommend this...
