One of the best ever Guesthouses ive stayed at. With the Vintage look and amount of space and different rooms available make it unique. Its an double story Manor built many years ago. Upstairs has 7 rooms in total.
2 with king size beds and a three quarter bed should you need an extra bed.
3 very spacious rooms with King size beds and very nice size bathrooms and 2 smaller rooms with queen size beds.
4 of the rooms have balconies.
All rooms have amazing beds and the cleanliness of linen ever. With a warm blanket should you need one. Tv and bar fridge with a kettle for tea, coffee and sugar available in each room.
Furthermore down the passage is a large kitchen with everything you need should you want to cook a meal. Then a huge very spacious dinning room and lounge which is extremely homely.
Then attached to that is a large conference room that caters for meeting needs.
Downstairs they offer 7 rooms similar to what is upstairs.
Linda the owner who is hands on is currently adding on 2 self-catering units downstairs which will offer its own kitchen aswell as a loft to accommodate kids ect.
They have a very spacious outside area with a sparkling clean pool and braai area.
Linda is an awesome hostess and tries to accommodate as much as possible. What an amazing women.
Amazing staff who assist her aswell.
One experience that will have you coming...
Read moreAs I am writing this, it is with first impressions (I have not spend the night as yet) but based on what I have seen and experienced thus far, I am very concerned! ||I will start with the positives.|Receptionist was welcoming, Building appears respectable from the outside and the location is great!||Inside is totally different. Decor needs serious attention, general upkeep of the interior is worn down.|Wifi is available, wifi codes are indicated by schoolbook labels all over the walls. |Furniture in the in the building has the feel of a second hand furniture shop - as some of the other reviewers mentioned, noisy hallways echoing.||Another point that is concerning is the very "positive" posts on this review list seems to be anonymous entries in an attempt to fool potential customers!!!||This establishment seems to ride the reputation of a bygone superior...
Read moreI see that some reviewers love it here, so perhaps it depends on the room you have. Ours was a bit dated and the bathroom door did not close (the door seemed to have swollen to no longer fit in the frame). The bathroom was also in quite a sad state with mould on the ceiling and in the grout and the shower was terrible. The parking is also directly outside the window of the room so we heard every car start as though it was in the room with us. It was a family staying in a family room, but we're only given 2 towels.
That said, it is a lovely building and very close to the beach and the beds were comfortable. I guess my objection is that it is marketed as a luxury boutique hotel and we felt it was more like a hostel. We didn't have breakfast there or use the pool, so perhaps those are wonderful.
All in all it was ok, but I would consider it poor...
