To Anyone and Everyone wishing for a break away somewhere Amazing in SA Cape Town ! |We had a fantastic stay at The Blue Peter hotel in Blouberg strand Cape Town.- April 2025|The entire hotel was spotless and well-maintained, showing a great level of attention to detail. |The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to assist with my requests.|The room was spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had the very best views! we were practically sleeping on the beach.|Our Dinner experience:|We had supper on the lower deck level with an exceptionally beautiful sunset. Our waitress was a caucasian lady and she went beyond and above to make us feel at home and very special. She anticipated our every request and was always available to serve, give advice on the food and was still smiling after a very long shift at work. If it wasn't fir the "poppy act" - we would give a special shout out and call her by her name. 👌👏👏🎯 |Every dish was a delightful experience, showcasing incredible flavors and creativity. We ordered the magnificent fish platters the superb rump steak with green pepper corn sauce and ofcourse their pizza arriving at your table all bubbly and smelling like Italy. |Our view on the ocean and the exceptionally beautiful sunset made everything feel very special, romantic, and phantasmagoric.! |The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients truly set this place apart. I can't wait to come back!|The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options. Again we were spoiled by a magnificent view of the ocean and the entire beauty of Table Mountain.|We would definitely stay at The Blue Peter Hotel / Blouberg strand / CT again! |This hotel exceeded our expectations. We will be sure to recommend this hotel to our friends and family. !! |Thank you for making our stay a beautiful, romantic and memorable time!!|Petrus & Alet...

The Blue Peter Hotel in Cape Town boasts a stunning beachfront location with breathtaking views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. As a venue for a wedding, it offers a picturesque backdrop that's hard to beat. The Deck provides a vibrant atmosphere for drinks and socializing, perfect for mingling with other wedding guests.

However, it's crucial to emphasize that the Blue Peter Hotel is extremely expensive for what it offers. While the location and views are undoubtedly spectacular, the pricing seems disproportionate to the overall experience. Guests may find themselves paying a premium for the prime beachfront position and iconic vistas, rather than exceptional service or extraordinary amenities.

The hotel's pricing strategy extends beyond just accommodation. Food, alcoholic beverages, and even bottled water are all priced at a significant premium. Visitors should be prepared for steep costs across all aspects of their stay, from meals to drinks. The high prices for these basic necessities can quickly add up, potentially putting a strain on guests' budgets.

Despite the high cost, the hotel does have some redeeming qualities. The proximity to kite surfing and other beach activities adds an element of adventure for those looking to extend their stay beyond the wedding festivities. Nonetheless, budget-conscious visitors may want to consider alternative options in the Cape Town area that offer better value for money, especially if they're planning an extended visit beyond the...

The Blue Peter is an establishment steeped in history and a firm feature of the social life in Blouberbergstrand and it's environs. It is one of the oldest sites in Bloubergstrand, with a history dating back to the late 19th century when there was a small family-run shop at the site. The name "Blue Peter" can be traced to 1949 when it was taken over by a former Polish consul in Cape Town, and his South African wife and became a restaurant specialising in seafood (much of it caught from the sea at their doorstep). The nautical ambience was created to complement the seafood menu. The architecture shows off it's old world charm- wooden beams, extra wide lintels, the balustrade on the stairs is a delightful work of art. The restaurant has been frequently touted for it's seafood menu and did not disappoint. The Pizza was deliciously hot off the oven and generously apportioned. Good value for money. The views.. not over rated- the sunset views take your breath away. The parking was adequate during my visit. Definitely a 5 star experience.
