Eden on the Bay is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to combine shopping, dining, and leisure by the beach. With a variety of amazing restaurants offering diverse cuisines, you're sure to find something delightful to satisfy your taste buds. The shops are equally impressive, providing a range of products that can make your visit both enjoyable and practical. The overall cleanliness of the center, combined with the refreshing holiday-like scent, makes for a pleasant atmosphere as you explore. One of the standout features of Eden on the Bay is the outdoor gym and the iconic picture frame that perfectly captures the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain and the sea. These amenities add a unique charm and provide great opportunities for both fitness enthusiasts and photography lovers. However, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. The outdoor bathroom area could use some attention and upgrades, and the addition of a kids' outdoor jungle gym would make the center more family-friendly. On the safety front, while the presence of lifesavers is reassuring, I don't feel 100% safe in some areas of the center. However, the free underground parking is a significant advantage, offering convenience and an extra layer of security for visitors. Overall, Eden on the Bay offers a wonderful experience with room for some enhancements, earning it a...

Eden on the Bay is a truly exceptional destination on Cape Town’s stunning Blouberg beachfront. This vibrant, open-air shopping and lifestyle center offers an unbeatable mix of leisure, dining, and retail experiences, making it a perfect escape for both locals and tourists. With spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, the atmosphere is both lively and laid-back, with plenty of seating areas and spaces to unwind.

The variety of restaurants is impressive, offering everything from fresh seafood and sushi to comforting pizzas and hearty breakfasts. Each eatery boasts outdoor seating, so you can soak up the sun and ocean breeze while enjoying your meal. For those looking to shop, Eden on the Bay offers a curated selection of stores, from fashion boutiques to surf shops, and even specialty food stores with local flavors.

The location is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, as the beach is renowned for surfing, kiteboarding, and other ocean activities. The promenade is also perfect for leisurely strolls or enjoying Cape Town’s famous sunsets. Eden on the Bay captures the essence of seaside living and relaxation, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience Cape Town’s coastal charm. Highly...

he only place you need to be for world-class views, watersports, and total convenience.

Eden on the Bay at Big Bay/Bloubergstrand is less a single attraction and more a perfect lifestyle hub. It flawlessly combines Cape Town's incredible natural beauty with urban convenience.

The location delivers the single best, postcard-perfect view of Table Mountain and Robben Island you will ever find—especially at sunset.

For action, you are literally stepping from the pavement onto the sand. The bay here is a globally renowned spot for kite-surfing and windsurfing, with surf shops and schools ready to rent gear or give lessons.

The courtyard is lined with fantastic restaurants and cafes (try Moyo or Blowfish for a view!), making it the easiest place in the city to go from an intense session in the water to a cocktail or a gourmet meal overlooking the ocean.

Crucially, the entire complex includes a large, well-stocked Pick n Pay grocery store (and other convenience shops). You can grab a coffee, surf a wave, have a full dinner, and do your entire weekly shop without ever moving your car.

If your ideal day includes epic views, watersports, great food, and zero hassle, Eden on the Bay...

🌊 A Gypsy’s View of Eden-on-the-Bay I stayed in Apartment 117, and while the photos painted a dreamy picture of endless sea views, the reality was a touch different. It’s a lovely apartment, yes — clean, comfortable, and conveniently placed — but what you don’t see in the pictures is that your “sea view” also comes with a promenade full of bustling shops and restaurants just below. In my case, I was living right above a Chinese restaurant, and while that meant easy access to dinner, it also meant less privacy and a fair bit of weekend noise. The balconies are close enough that you can chat with your neighbour without raising your voice — charming to some, not ideal for others. That said, for a business trip, it was perfect. The weekdays were calm, the location unbeatable — I could walk everywhere, from my meetings to the beach for a morning run. With cafés, restaurants, and even a Pick n Pay within steps, I never needed a car. So, if you’re chasing ocean serenity, maybe not the weekend spot. But if you’re after convenience, coastal air, and an easy work-life blend — it’s an Eden of its own kind.

Great beach! Restaurants are fantastic, and as full as they get, the service delivery is still in the ball. Pet friendly and popular area for walking your dog(s) along the promenade or the never-ending shore line. Stunning view of Table Mountain! All public toilets are well maintained! The shops in the center are neat and clean! There are friendly staff at all the outlets, and for those who don't know, there is an excellent Vet there called Bergzicht Animal Hospital. They saved our little female Schnauzer's life, and we will forever be grateful. To the staff who clean the beaches, we are grateful for you as you greet people with a smile while you carry on working. The only snag for me is that parking on a hot summer day may be a problem, so perhaps make a bus trip on those days to avoid the frustration and an early for that matter if you want to get a spot on the beach early. 5 stars from me! P.s. Sorry, but there are no pics of the restaurants or shops, my bad.
