Harbouredge Suites — Hotel in City Centre

Harbouredge Suite is in a good location, walking distance to the V&A and the CBD, however in seems a bit dangerous in the night because of all the vagrants that sleep or hang around on the streets close by. Very cheap to Uber back to the apartment if returning late. We stayed in apartment 105 which was a nightmare. we booked via Bookings.com and when we arrived at the apartment, it smelt of marijuana and also the apartment is dated. We tried with reception and also via Bookings.com to get another apartment but according to them the place was fully booked although we noticed that there was not many rooms occupied on our floor and judging from the parking area which was more empty than full. So we were told by housekeeping that the previous tenants (Nigerians) smoked weed in the apartment although it is a non smoking room. We were given a humidifier that eventually helped after 2 days of it being continuously on. The other issue was the the amount of cockroaches in the night and mornings so we could not leave food stuff on the counters. The apartment is presentable but dated and definitely needs an upgrade. Some lights do not work, the bathroom shower head was broken and held together with thread tape, the bathroom basin tap was loose. Pros: Good air conditioning Close to all tourist places Teas & coffee condiments provided Towels replaced everyday and the apartment cleaned. This was definitely not worth it's money. Half of the furniture is damaged. The shower cabin doesn't close properly and is kept in place by little wooden bricks. Toilettpaper was missing the second day. Aircon didn't work. It might look nice at first sight but looking closer you'll find sloppy work everywhere. Also the noise from the street is really loud so you can't really use the balcony or even leave the door open. Only reason I give 3 stars is because the security staff was very friendly and helpful. “Great location apartments”

Definitely, this is the best choice for people with small families and those who like suit type hotel rooms. You have a suite with bedroom, kitchen and living room, a balcony. But the best thing is the location - 10min walk from the waterfront and 2 blocks from the grocery and a nice place for night entertainment. The price is also very attractive, the service is average but the personnel is very polite. You can stair at some super cars from the lobby in the showroom next door.
