Platteland — Hotel in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with the owner at Platteland Cottage in Clarens. We have been in contact since (June 24 2024) Despite agreeing to payment terms and confirming my booking, the owner failed to respond to my messages for days, claiming her phone broke - despite evidence that my messages were delivered and read. After repeated attempts to get a booking confirmation and invoice, she suddenly informed me that the cottage was booked by someone else (04 July 2024). This is unacceptable and unethical behavior from an owner. I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with Platteland Cottage and its owner. Unprofessionalism...

What an amazing find! Just 2 roads away from the main square and close to the conservancy walking paths. The owners were so helpful and friendly. We had the main house to ourself. There is also a studio and cottage available to rent separately. The yard is large, safe and well maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean and the kitchen was set up really beautifully. There are 3 double bed rooms with 2 bathrooms for the house to share. The outside area is amazing- outdoor dining with a fireplace and gas stove.
