Wow I'm honestly shocked by the way we were treated yesterday by the "owner". I phoned to make a reservation to watch the rugby. I was told that they don't take bookings as it's first come first serve.

When we arrived I was saying to my people that there's reservations on the tables that were open and that it's strange to me as we couldn't make a booking. All of a sudden in a very rude manner "the owner" was behind me saying 'let's see so there's a problem but it all depends on your attitude if we can solve it, so yes unfortunately you came too late so there's no tables, ok so depending on your attitude I can give you a barrel but we have no chairs so you will have to stand that's all I can do or you can go see if Buffelsfontein or Capital craft have space for you' (our attitudes 😳)

He was saying all of this in such an aggressive manner, as if our money was not important to his business. Made a booking for the rugby on Sat 23rd September in smoking area. We asked if they could possibly move us inside to non smoking. The waiter came to confirm we could move, we placed our orders at the new table. Only to be confronted by a very rude man by the name of Keegan to say that he has to move us back to our original table, because he reserved our table for himself and his guests. Firstly he was very rude and unprofessional, secondly our original booked seats have been taken. We asked him if he was the manager he very obnoxiously said he was infact the owner. I find this even more disturbing. He left and came back and fought with us again tearing up our reserved paper notice and throwing it on the table with an attitude. The waitress even apologized for his behavior, and she was very sweet. I left the table, he came back and continued arguing with the company I was with bragging about him being the owner, we spent almost R1000 there despite the owners arrogance. We have visited the restaurant 3 x before and I can honestly not recommend this establishment for eating out. The food we ordered was a disaster, the sausage was dry tasteless, the kraut was bad, they forgot the rest of the food that was supposed to be on the plate, then the platter was the biggest disappointment it was a plate with a heap of oily Mc D's fries wih a teaspoon full of bad stew on top and mayo over that in one corner the most horrid tasting bitterballen dry and old in another corner 4 pieces dry calamari, then 5 small pieces of rib zero meat on it it was frightening.Desert was equally bad,soggy paperthin brownie cheap icecream. What do you take us for?? The owner of this restaurant should look at the menu, its boring and not a single exciting thing on it but msst of all it is presented in a very poor way and taste really bad.Last thing, there should be chairs with backrests on...
