Pincushion Heights in Knysna is an absolute gem of a guesthouse! I had the privilege of staying for four nights in the Pincushion Room. From the moment I arrived, the exquisite views captivated me, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The self-catering rooms were simply wonderful, offering all the comforts needed for a memorable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept so well. I often am disappointed with the hairdryers at guest houses, but this one was really great! An added bonus is the fact that the whole property is off grid meaning that load shedding did not impact my stay at all!

With just an hour's drive from the George airport, pincushion heights is conveniently located for travelers. Following their clear instructions made finding the place a breeze. The Fyn Bos garden is stunning, and added a delightful touch of nature, and the boma offered a magical spot to stargaze. Watching the sunset with a glass of wine was pure bliss. The hosts were awesome, ensuring a quiet and relaxing experience, perfect for singles and couples alike. They also had amazing suggestions of places to visit and things to do in the area. I would highly recommend staying at Pincushion Heights and cannot wait to stay there again...

The accommodation was spotless, with great attention to detail, and offered breathtaking views of the sea, Lake Brenton, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Every corner reflected a personal touch: Peter’s handcrafted wooden furniture, Ursula’s lovely garden flowers brightening the room, and even their daughters’ creative artwork and cushions.

If you are heading along the Garden Route and plan to stay in Kynsna, then we thoroughly recommend Pincushion Heights. It is a fantastic location with breath-taking views and a short drive into town. Our accommodation was a beautifully appointed, spacious, self-catering apartment in the midst of manicured gardens that epitomise the local flora. It had everything one needs and the attention to detail is great - including international power points (which we needed) and the solar power with battery storage provided constant power supply and great wifi coverage.
