Brenton Beach House — Hotel in George

I love Brenton on Sea next to Knysna on the Cape’s Harden Route. I last visited in 1978 so very excited to return in 2022. I searched on line for a number of locations but was drawn to the Brenton-on-Sea Beach House both for its location and ambience. We weren’t disappointed. On our arrival we were shown into our magnificent en-suite bedroom which faced the garden and had a north easterly aspect. Our bedroom overlooked the stunning garden and swimming pool with a lovely veranda through double French Windows. Very tastefully furnished and decorated in pale shades of grey, white and lilac. Parking provided in front of the premises and free wifi. Our stay included breakfast which was sometimes challenging because of load shedding but Derrick Coetzer our host, provided us with a load shedding timetable which was very helpful. Breakfast was largely continental with cooked eggs on request. There is tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom as well as a sink so very convenient for making your own beverages. Derrick even supplied fresh flowers in our bedroom. He is a host with great local knowledge and also an extremely talented photographer. Derrick made great suggestions for restaurants, things to do during our limited 3 night stay. Thanks to Derrick we really packed a lot in! Would definitely return to the Beach House again if the opportunity ever arises to visit this stunning area again. The beach is incredibly beautiful and a very peaceful stay surrounded by birds...

4 star hotel worthy of 5. Spent three nights there and they were certainley the most comfortable and enjoyable of the 16 nights on holiday. The manager, Derrick cooks breakfast himself and is a wonderful person and host. His staff is friendly and keep the place spotless. Bedrooms comfortably sleep 3 people, bathrooms consist of shower and bath and are fairly large, Satellite TV available and airconditioning! Walking distance from the beach and free Wi-Fi with incredible speeds! Worth every cent. The only downfall is that the breakfast is limited to eggs, fruit, cheeses, bread, cereal and cold meat. Although this is minor since there are plenty places to get food!...

Hi Derrick||WOW…my wife & I have not stopped raving to our family & friends about our accommodation,||your hospitality and the staff.||You made us so welcome into your “home” that we felt at “home from home”.||We wanted a quite, restful, peaceful 5 days, that’s what we got & felt when we sadly had to leave.||Our view from “Honeymoon Suite” was remarkable…listening to the waves……..||Guest house is beautifully situated, short drive to main road, easy access to walk or drive to the stunning beach.||Looking forward to returning in the near future.||Best Wishes||RAYMOND &...
