HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We decided to extend our stay TWICE because this place is so relaxing.

About the rooms : The rooms are well size and each have a huge en suit bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Breakfast is included and is divine. Rooms have massive televisions with youtube and Netflix. A bar fridge, Kettle and fan are provided. Balcony, pool and braai area accessibility.

Loadshedding : This is actually my only downside. I was quite adamant about not having load shedding, just because of the insane heat but Thankfully it wasn't hot during the evenings and we had good cell reception. Just bring a rechargeable fan with you and you'll be set.

Safety: We were pleased to see that the entire area is fenced off and is only accessible via a security gate, where your license and registration are scanned.

Our Host: Honestly our host is one of the best we have had. Carla, is one of the few hosts that is so genuinely keen on making her guests happy. She is highly attentive, asking questions about our stay and sending us continuous updates to keep us informed, which we highly appreciate. If you ever need ANYTHING just ask Carla.

Price: (under R1000) This one IS THE BEST PRICED. You have breakfast, wifi, TV, a pool, braai area, daily cleanup, a balcony, a bath and a shower. Honestly I can go on and on. For what you get THIS IS A BARGAIN!!!!

Nearby activities : ZOO - tons of animals, including a tiger, lions, leopards and hyenas. (don't go to the zoo if you are sensitive to animals being encaged) FOOD - We were able to order food from nearby restaurants, our fabulous host Carla provided us with all of the surrounding resturants menus. I don't reccomend going to Kosmos Cafe, food wasn't that great. WATERFALL - it was closed off to the public as they were emptying the dam but you still get to drive over the bridge and the view is spectacular BOAT RIDES - Jet-ski and boats are availabe for hire from the zoo, but keep in mind they are only available on weekends and cannot operate when the aqua plants are spread over the dam.

The location of this guesthouse is not ideal or safe, it's surrounded by informal settlements, which makes the area feel uncomfortable. The property looked significantly worse in person than it did in the photos. Upon arrival, it felt as though we were intruding on a family’s private day. The hosts were busy doing laundry, and their child was playing around the kitchen and laundry area, creating a very awkward atmosphere.

There was a serious lack of privacy. If we could hear the child playing and the family talking from inside our room, then it’s safe to assume they could hear everything from our side as well. The wooden floors were also very noisy with every step.

After discussing our concerns among ourselves, we decided to leave just 30 minutes later. We used the bathroom, returned the keys, and left without even requesting a refund, we simply felt it wasn't worth the energy.

This guesthouse is worth no more than R700 per night, certainly not the R1700 we were charged. There are far more attractive and affordable places offering better value. I highly recommend doing thorough research before booking here.

The property looked like it hadn't been occupied for quite some time, and the braai area was uninviting. Parking is right by the street with no secure garage or lockable gate.

To make matters worse, after leaving an honest review on Bookings.com, I received an insulting message from Carla accusing me of leaving used condoms in the bathroom, something that was completely untrue. I barely spent any time at the property, and this kind of behavior from the host, including false accusations, is very concerning.

If you do decide to book here, I strongly recommend taking photos of the property as you leave to protect yourself from any false claims of damage, theft,...

I must mention the check out time us not an issue the issue the treatment you get during checkout.

The stuff does not reflect the owner's warm friendly approach and just ruins thw whole expirience. I'm gonna explain why I'm giving a 1star review. Number 1 the check out was unnecessarily extremely cold and unpleasant, I believe the check out must be as freindy and warm as the check in why is it that when it's check out time you must all of a sudden have an unfriendly Zimbabwean man with very very very poor hygiene walk up to your face with a straight face with an intention to look "intimidating" 😴🙄 walk up to your face not greet and just day to you "it's Checkout Time", this fool had the nerve to to be rude when I asked him where I must leave the key.

Then there is the people who prepared the breakfast we waited 15mins before the lady told us the breakfast is ready and she want at all welcoming as well and again I must make mention the lack of personal hygiene it felt very uncomfortable having an unwelcoming and unhygienic person handling my food. This epitomises the difference between cheap labor and quality labor, cheap labor ruins a business in one way or another. The breakfast could've also been better.

The place is nice overall the experience was terrible...
