We visited La Rochelle for the 2nd time in February 2023. The units are clean and serviced every day. They are not very geared up for load shedding, could not assist with a gas bottle with a cooker, only the 2nd bathroom had a rechargeable globe, which wasn’t efficient. Then I left 2 items behind, a costume top and an ashtray, only the astray was found, they tell me they searched the unit everywhere but couldn’t find the top I hung in the main bedroom window, very disappointing. Not sure if the staff are searched when they leave the premises? I do not have my top. When we first asked for assistance to post net the ashtray, we were told to arrange it ourselves, which is too difficult and costly to do, only after my husband complained and another guest also needed something that was left behind did they agree to courier using PEP stores. What these management teams don’t realise is that we are owners and if it weren’t for us paying our levies and using the timeshares, they won’t have a job. So maybe they can be more helpful in future. I will still visit La Rochelle again, but they need to up their game to cater for load shedding which is going to be around for some time to come. Overall the staff were helpful and the swimming pools and entertainment area is stunning....
Read moreAwesome family vacation home- clean and well maintained. The pool and other activities were fun after a long day. In particular, Vuyo, and indeed all the staff were so friendly and accommodating.
A couple of things to be aware of that are out of the resort's control: Stage 6 loadshedding hit St Lucia really hard- 9.5 h of load-shedding per day. This affected water availability as the borehole pump was affected during our stay. There was also no water from 10 pm-6 am because of a leak so plan accordingly. You can walk to the beach but during the days we were there it really was too hot. Driving makes more sense. Note that the beaches have a strictly no alcohol policy- your car and bags are searched. While this probably makes the beaches safer, some folk end up drinking and playing their music loud outside the resort. It not really that bad but some might be annoyed. There was no or intermittent cellphone signal in St Lucia over the weekend that we were there. So, no wifi or 4G. Do take some cash if you are planning on eating out at restaurants as card machines may not work and download offline maps if you are using a cellphone for navigation.
That being said, we had a great...
Read moreThe place its self was nice large and comfortable. It had Very out dated bathrooms, the toilets were stained brown and the bath looked like it had been polli fulled where there where holes. The beds are very old as well. It does feel like their are flees in the beds as the first night I was covered in bites but apparently this is common for warm costal areas.
Their put put course is so old and raggedy that it was falling apart if you hit the ball to hard against the wooden walls. The pool was great. There was separate pools for small kids and adults. They had 2pool tables and one table tennis, I never ver played on thwm so I couldn't give you anything about it.
The maid service was good, they were there every day cleaning up, not to friendly but always had a smile on her face when you said hello :-)
The place over all was ok, I dont think I will be back at La Rochelle but I will be back at St Lucia, what a wonderful place. I do hope that my review is well understandable, sorry I never added pictures I never took any of the place but of St Lucia it's self I...
