The host Pieter is very welcoming and that really added to the pleasure of the stay. But the word “lodge” sounds like a hotel, but like most other local accommodation, these are really just a bunch of rooms in a home. As such accommodations go, they were clean and functional, and the beds were very comfortable, but perhaps not very cozy, nor was the couch comfortable, probably because it doubles as a sleeper. It’s also too far to comfortably walk to town and too far to walk to the beach, so you definitely need a car if staying here.
Note that with regular electricity interruptions, the aircon won’t work and the generator at the property and the opposite house will run very audibly, but at least there is backup power as this will not be the case for everyone. Note that booking activities through reception is pricier than going direct.

Read moreWe stayed in the Weaver unit. The parking for our loaded car was close and convenient and upon arrival we were greeted and taken on a tour of both the lovely pool, garden and braai area and our unit. Rudi was kind and always asked about our day and adventures. Overall, everything lived up to our expectations and we had a lovely...
