Kleinmond Lodge — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

The room were was very clean and the bed comfy. TV channel choices were great. But we had no water for two days apart from a trickle a couple of times. So was impossible to shower. And was given only two small bottles of water so we could have a cup of tea. The landlady was away while we were there, and she had left her morose husband to see to us. Big mistake! The first mornings breakfast was a full english, but he plonked it on the table and left.We had no butter for our toast, and nobody to ask for any. The next morning, no water again. And I asked if we could have eggs on toast instead of full english. He never said a word, and a few minutes later plonked two broken fried eggs in front of me, not on toast and marched out of the room. So we had to then do our toast ourselves, while our eggs went cold. If he had asked us to put the toast while he was cooking the eggs, we would have done. We ate our eggs got up went to our car and left. We never saw anybody, and nobody said goodbye. Please Annette ( landlady ) don't leave your husband to see to guests, he is not...

We used this property for a team of 16 people spread over the 14 rooms and for our purposes while working in the area the property was an absolute dream, super practical, very new and clean, the finishings are high end, beds, pillows, sheets and towels are all high end. Loads of parking even for our bigger vans, with shaded parking for the regular cars and kombis. Great spacious clean and practical dining room and fully kitted restaurant style communal kitchen.||The hosts were very attentive and understood our needs straight away, being a working team as opposed to tourists they made our stay very easy and even cooked the team a hot breakfast every morning for a very reasonable rate, including home made ciabatta and muffins.||Located within walking distance to the main beach and well away from the main road and town so its very quiet.||Would absolutely go back and recommend...

We checked into a campsite, that turned out to be very dodge. We waited till curfew ended to leave this hell like campsite, and I then called Klienmond lodge. The horrible human hung up the call mid conversation. She asked answered, I asked if she had accommodation for 4 adults asap, she replied and said "why are you calling at this hour", (well, duh we felt we were in danger where we were staying and you popped up as the closest next best 24hr accommodation). This rude woman hung the call while I was speaking. Disgusting. I'd never recommend this place to anyone, simply based on this call. A serious disgrace to humanity. Hospitality is definitely not something this abrupt woman should...
