Period of stay 19 – 23 January 2025 I booked directly to avoid booking agency cost. I did search for accommodation on reputable sites to avoid scams. I received telephonic confirmation right away and a follow-up confirmation per WhatsApp shortly after. Joy's Place is close to 2 Military Hospital and the Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, where my wife and I attended two specialist medical consultations, with none of the notorious Cape Town traffic in-between. Due to the distance from our residence (160 Km) and the timing of the consultations, we decided to stay a few nights. My wife and I travelled with our pet dog, for whom there was ample fenced space in the garden. Keith also took care of our dog while we attended the medical appointments, to the extent of spoiling it with chewable snacks. We are pensioners and we travel extensively. The service was exemplary, compared to what we have experienced in the larger Western Cape, Namibia, and Botswana. Joy's Place is literally home away from home. The host, Keith and Joy, are the most humbled, friendly and caring people.

I think myself and Keith are good friends now 😋. I've had my first cup of morning coffee with Keith. We had some tribe coffee. It was a first for me. We also had a great morning chat around general daily life skills challenges which were a great deal for me as I've learnt so much from him.

To end it off, Keith and Joy, are swift in their response to our needs. They are like genuine concerned parents. They value their guests and therefore don't mind to go the extra in satisfying the needs of those staying over.

Our kids really enjoyed themselves. I've never seen my daughter and her niece so happy to just be themselves. You guys have really done a good job. We are definitely coming back here in the new year. We nearly requested for an extra day but were considered to the next guests checking in.

To everyone looking for a perfect place to stay, Joy's Place is the best getaway stay.

Joy's Place is the most beautiful accomadation i have ever had. It is in a serene neighborhood with tranquil surroundings and lots of security.The scents of pa's beautiful roses puts an amazing smile on your face. It is wheelchair friendly and has a huge swimming pool. We were booked in for 3 nights. After a fabulous welcome we just had to spend more days at Joy's Place. Due to a cancelation we got an extra night. On our last night at Joy's Place my husband became ill & it was just impossible to travel. Keith & Joy who was very concerned offered us an extended stay in their own home. It was an exceptional experience. Keith went above & beyond to get my husband medication. Joy, Ma & Pa the sweethearts that they are shared their family, friends, wisdoms & food with us on New Years eve 2023. They all made us part of the family.
