M n M Guesthouse In Polokwane Central Near Savanah Mall — Hotel in Polokwane Local Municipality

Last min booking so I may not really complain, however here are some pointers I noticed during my two night stay-

I cannot speak about the other rooms, but the room I stayed in was amazingly small and cramped. There is a desk & chair, however the microwave takes up the whole table space. (So no surface space available other than the bed) Bathroom also really cramped and will be very tough to get into and out of for anyone even slightly plus-sized due to small size (see video for example) Linen is old and had holes in, however it was at least clean and smelt fresh. Towels were available for day one, and removed but not replaced on day two. Fortunately had my own towel as backup so this was not an issue worth following up on immediately.

Lastly- quite a strange bed setup- the two singe beds making up the double bed are set up diagonally as apposed to normal, (so one sleeps over half of one and half of the other) This was very uncomfortable as it resulted in a hard bump right in middle of where one would sleep. Moving the pillows to the “side” of the bed and sleeping across solved this problem, but not sure why they would set the beds in this way.

On the positive side- Receptionists were always very friendly and so welcoming, big smiles and happy to see me! Not sure if they realise though that when scrolling social media/ watching movies at reception area, the sound travels through the whole lodge, I could hear everything from my room even with doors & windows closed.

Gate is remotely operated via receptionists from inside. Often needed to hoot to get attention for them to open, which is not ideal. In short- It is clean, and location felt safe with secure parking provided so great for an emergency stopover, and I am really grateful for them accommodating me on short notice, but if they would like more return guests, some attention to details may...

I've been postponing to write this review because I was still recovering from the bad service this guesthouse have. The staff is very unfriendly, those girls behave like they are doing guests a favor (No kindness whatsoever). Me and my partner stayed there from Monday till Friday, we were so uncomfortable. The kitchen was a mess, the way it was so untidy we couldn't cook for ourselves. They didn't change our sheets for the whole four nights, there's so much noise there - made by the stuff. We had no toilet paper and worse! The was no hot water!! We had cold showers for 3 days. I've been to guesthouses before this one is the worst by far. We had to change it the following Monday...
