Really basic accommodation. |Views out of bedroom and bathroom window was dry, overgrown and weedy. Stale water with artificial “greens” and cuttings on the breakfast table - Really? Way too much clutter. Breakfast was very basic and the “honesty bar” pretty dull. Charging for a biscuit seemed a little tacky…||Took 2 min for the shower to heat up and by the time I was finished, it was lukewarm (2 min shower) and my partner still had to shower. What’s the “save water” sign for?||Pool area was the only place that looked moderately tasteful. I’m no prude but having the owner/guests stroking without any encouragement seemed a bit tacky? ||Maybe this place was “stylish” in its day but the owners need to up the anti. Loads of potential but alas it’s a faded “rose”|Been to many lovely gay guesthouses around the world and this isn’t one of them. I’d pass and go into the city. ||There may not be any gay guesthouses left in Cape Town but you’ll find better value in...

We stayed 7 nights here. We choose this accommodation for several reasons. The fact that is a gay resort was the first. Secondly it is ||central to the many places we wanted to visit, both to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek in the north, aswell as Cape Town/Table Mountain to the west, and Gordon's Bay to the south-east. And, not in the last place, the guesthouse has a swimmingpool for cooling down after a long day of exploring.||The acommodation and facilities are just what one would want. ||Detlef and Lars are very friendly hosts, took good care when needed or asked, but also respected our privacy. Advertised as stylish and luxurious, this guesthouse is very basic and aged. Simple rooms, bed falling apart, very basic bathroom, shower not warm (though handbasin gets warm), moderately clean, limited breakfast (worst coffee though nespresso machine, dry buns, limited selection and amount of cold cuts, eggs fine).|Honesty bar is nice but limited selection.
