📍 Ambience & Location • Convenient in-store café: Located right inside Woolworths Waterstone, the café offers a seamless experience—shop groceries, then relax with a coffee or treat . • Stylish & accessible: Positioned within a bustling shopping hub, it attracts both locals and visitors, offering ample seating and a pleasant atmosphere for casual dining. ⸻ ☕ Food, Drinks & Menu • High-quality ingredients: The café emphasizes ethically sourced, fresh produce and premium coffee—customers praise its 100% African organic beans and freshly baked cakes . • Menu variety: In addition to all-day breakfast and pastries, the café has expanded to include a full lunch and dinner menu—a recent enhancement for extended hours . • Inconsistent food reviews: Some patrons report standout breakfast and wholesome plates, while others find certain items bland or underwhelming—e.g., fish dishes and pasta receiving poor feedback . ⸻ ⏳ Service & Wait Times • Mixed service experience: Reviews vary widely—some note “attentive wait staff” and a friendly team , while others complain of slow, indifferent service and overly long waits, such as a 45-minute wait for a salad . ⸻ 💸 Value for Money • Premium pricing: Customers recognize the higher price point, which aligns with the upscale ingredients and dining experience; opinions differ on whether it’s worth it. • Portion concerns: A few diners feel portions are smaller than expected given the cost . ⸻ 👍 Highlights & Drawbacks 👍 Strengths 👎 Weaknesses Organic coffee & cakes, ethically sourced ingredients Uneven food quality—some dishes disappointing New dinner menu with extended hours Service can be slow and inconsistent Pleasant, accessible space within the grocery store Portion sizes may not match premium pricing ⸻ 📝 Overall Verdict Woolworths Café at Waterstone Village offers a stylish spot with excellent coffee, fresh-baked goods, and thoughtful ingredients. The expansion into dinner offerings is a notable plus. However, food consistency and service can vary—some diners have enjoyed standout experiences, while others have faced slow service and underwhelming meals. It delivers a premium experience, but personal expectations around service speed and dish quality should be aligned accordingly. ⸻ ✔️ Tips Before You Go • Visit during off-peak hours for quicker service. • Try the coffee and pastries—these are consistently praised. • Be prepared for fluctuating experiences with main dishes and portion sizes.

I have now been to this Café a number of times. Sometimes just having coffee and others having breakfast or dinner. I keep on being amazed with the quality of their food and service. Today my wife and I had the chicken and avo salad. Checked was soft and tender, not dry. Salad was fresh and all was just great. My daughter had the chicken pasta which I managed to steal a bite. So full of flavor it was amazing. Tasted out of this world. Really enjoyed our visit. Definitely worth the visit and they are now open till 22:00. I have decided to add my own star rating for bathroom facilities. I have seen too many people leaving a restaurant after visiting the facilities to not bring this in. Bathroom facility is not in the restaurant but part of the mall. Convenience 3/5 Cleanliness 4/5

Went to Woolies Café at 8pm after church service. Was absolutely as wonderful as always. Coffee was incredibly. I ordered butter chicken and asked them to make it extra hot which they did without hesitation. And they brought the HEAT !!! Wonderful and kind staff serving with smiles and compliments. Thank you Woolies Café !

Friendly staff and good service. Atmosphere is nice and open yet Cosy. Playing some music could add to the atmosphere. The cafe part which is on the outside of the building has many windows to allow the breeze to come in when necessary. An aircon could do nicely in summer as it can get quite warm inside. There is a great variety of dishes on the menu. I love Woolworths coffee and I reccomend a flat White or two paired with the salted caramel cheesecake , which is divine! In fact , the last time I was at the cafe I had two slices of the salted caramel cheesecake. It was freshly baked and well balanced. I can also reccomend their salmon bagel, it is delicious! The food sometimes takes a bit of a wait , because they are often busy, but it's worth the wait. I like the fact that the hours the cafe is open are longer hours, it helps to have a place that still is open after work hours to catch up with friends over good coffee. Interestingly enough, now WW cafe is even serving wine , although not during renovations. There is plenty of tables, various seating arrangements. I reccomend going over early brunch time to get a table or late afternoon or evening is also a good time to go. The prices are a bit above average, but you pay for good quality and satisfactory quantity. Don't forget to use your Woolworths card for discounts on your coffee, every little bit helps. The waiters don't always remember to ask for your Woolworths card. The tables are kept clean and are cleaned in-between customers. You can work with your laptop here as well, many like to do so. I look forward to...

Okay Woolies café management. Please take note! INFORM PEOPLE AT THE DOOR THAT WAITING TIME IS 40 MINS PLUS! We were seated and served coffee and ordered breakfast. This was the last time a waiter came to the table. No drinks refills, empty cups on the table. 40 mins later the manager was came over to the table to inform us that our food will be a further 30mins. I was not happy, but reluctantly accepted this as we've already come this far. 5mins later he returned to request my wife change her order to something simpler to accommodate the kitchen who are behind. My order was ready and he could bring that in the meantime.

So you expect me to wait an hour and ten minutes to eat my food alone while my wife watches. All the while waiting for food that she didn't want in the first place.

This is when we got up and left, never to return...

This was strike two. We had a similar experience here about three weeks ago. A slice of cake and coffee took 40 MINS to arrive at the table.

1 star for food as we didn't even get it. 1 star for service - see above 1 star for atmosphere - there was not a smile to be seen in the entire restaurant as everyone was...
