Read moreFriendly staff and good service. Atmosphere is nice and open yet Cosy. Playing some music could add to the atmosphere. The cafe part which is on the outside of the building has many windows to allow the breeze to come in when necessary. An aircon could do nicely in summer as it can get quite warm inside. There is a great variety of dishes on the menu. I love Woolworths coffee and I reccomend a flat White or two paired with the salted caramel cheesecake , which is divine! In fact , the last time I was at the cafe I had two slices of the salted caramel cheesecake. It was freshly baked and well balanced. I can also reccomend their salmon bagel, it is delicious! The food sometimes takes a bit of a wait , because they are often busy, but it's worth the wait. I like the fact that the hours the cafe is open are longer hours, it helps to have a place that still is open after work hours to catch up with friends over good coffee. Interestingly enough, now WW cafe is even serving wine , although not during renovations. There is plenty of tables, various seating arrangements. I reccomend going over early brunch time to get a table or late afternoon or evening is also a good time to go. The prices are a bit above average, but you pay for good quality and satisfactory quantity. Don't forget to use your Woolworths card for discounts on your coffee, every little bit helps. The waiters don't always remember to ask for your Woolworths card. The tables are kept clean and are cleaned in-between customers. You can work with your laptop here as well, many like to do so. I look forward to...
Read moreOkay Woolies café management. Please take note! INFORM PEOPLE AT THE DOOR THAT WAITING TIME IS 40 MINS PLUS! We were seated and served coffee and ordered breakfast. This was the last time a waiter came to the table. No drinks refills, empty cups on the table. 40 mins later the manager was came over to the table to inform us that our food will be a further 30mins. I was not happy, but reluctantly accepted this as we've already come this far. 5mins later he returned to request my wife change her order to something simpler to accommodate the kitchen who are behind. My order was ready and he could bring that in the meantime.
So you expect me to wait an hour and ten minutes to eat my food alone while my wife watches. All the while waiting for food that she didn't want in the first place.
This is when we got up and left, never to return...
This was strike two. We had a similar experience here about three weeks ago. A slice of cake and coffee took 40 MINS to arrive at the table.
1 star for food as we didn't even get it. 1 star for service - see above 1 star for atmosphere - there was not a smile to be seen in the entire restaurant as everyone was...
