La Rochelle Inn — Hotel in uMhlathuze Local Municipality

The place was dirty and lacks maintenance. Very dated, cheap decor. Bathroom and toilet was separate and outside of room. Definitely no covid protocols observed, room looked like it had not been cleaned recently let alone sanitized. Booking agent paid for dinner but I was told dinner was not served on the premises so I was given a voucher to go to the mall for dinner. The restaurant at the mall made me call the B & B to check if the contract with the restaurant was still valid. Breakfast pack was an egg sandwich, apple and juice. No dietary requests were taken. Bedding was thin and shabby with one standard flat pillow. No water in room. Kettle was empty and had to be filled in the bathroom. Water tasted like it came out of a borehole. The towels had a funny smell, when confronted, the admin called on the helper to ask why, and she answered, "it's not my fault you guys don't buy sta-soft, she immediately ordered the helper to put our towels on sta-soft, specifically gave our room numbers, which were 3, then the host came after the complaint, I was not present told my grand kids that there was nothing wrong with the towels and no one complaint before.
