Premier Splendid Inn Bayshore — Hotel in uMhlathuze Local Municipality

The Place is Beautiful ... set in a quite area named Meer en see. The Manger of the hotel is an amazingly friendly guy as well as the lady who runs the breakfast in the mornings. The cleaning staff are also very friendly and efficient. My only concerns are ;

The Receptionist upon arrival was extremely rude and un-welcoming . Assuming that she was having a bad day my hubby and I didnt think too much of it. However when my hubby approached a different receptionist for a hairdryer the following day he got the same "cold shoulder" treatment. So my question is are all the receptionists' rude ? Because the rest of the staff are amazing .

The room has a very damp mouldy smell when u enter .

The aircondioning is a very old model which is based on the floor. So if u need to switch it off at night, you have to get out of bed.

We received 1 bath towel and two hands towels upon arrival for Two Adults. (Yes the price is different for 2 people)

I had a great and memorable stay at Splendid Inn Hotel Bayshore. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff Simphiwe (Trainee), and I don't remember the lady he was with weather Nosipho or something at reception, which immediately made me feel at home.

The atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for both business and leisure stays. The rooms are big, clean, and spacious – truly offering great comfort and plenty of room to unwind.

The food was delicious and scrumptious, with a variety that catered to different tastes. It really added to the overall positive experience of my stay.

The only shortfall I experienced was when I requested an iron, and unfortunately did not receive it. I had to wear a jacket over my un-ironed T-shirt, which was a bit disappointing. However, this did not overshadow the otherwise excellent service and pleasant stay.

We booked this hotel for myself and some of my colleagues, including a conference room. On arrival, the receptionist mumbled everything that we needed to know without even making eye contact with us. When we got to our rooms, the cards that were suppose to open the doors, were not working. When requesting for lunch the lady who assisted us made it sound like it was too much of an effort to supply us with lunch. The staff that was making breakfast the following morning were rude and unhelpful. The rooms only has enough coffee for one person and it does not get replaced. Aircons are in poor working condition. No wifi available, after expressly stating that they have wifi. The garden is not being maintained. The lunch that we ordered and paid for in advance for ourselves and our clients were not enough - 5 people did not even get lunch, because there were none left. The staff at this hotel is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I will never book this hotel again, either for personal or business trips. Altogether a...
