I'm writing this review just before I check out.||The hotel location is good, plenty of bars and restaurants in the local area.||Foyer and reception clean, bright, airy and spacious. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.||There's a coffee shop downstairs, a gym and sauna although I didn't get the opportunity to try any of them so can't rate or comment on them.||The room is large, with free wifi, a desk and a sofa. Wood laminate on the floor with the same wood for furniture and wood panels is a bit dull but it's all clean. The bathroom has the usual bidet/toilet and a shower. All very modern and well laid out.||I particularly liked the shower set up that has a large ceiling head as well as one on a hose. Unfortunately the ceiling head does have a break in the seal so the water shoots up to the ceiling.||The air conditioning is a bit of a pain, especially if you don't read Korean but it didn't take long to figure out. What is a pain is that it doesn't cool much below 22C if the outside ambient is 25C. I don't know if the unit is underpowered for the room size or if it's just set up to not cool that low. That said I wasn't uncomfortable. The other pain with the air con is that if you take your key out of the room switch the air con switches off (which is fine, that's eco friendly) but it forgets its settings which means you have to switch it back on and reset the temperature every time you come back in.||I've marked the hotel as average because there is no option for good and this isn't a very good hotel. The thing that makes me downgrade the score is that there is no restaurant from Sunday through Thursday. The restaurant only opens on Friday and Saturday. When you've just got in after 20 hours travelling the last thing you want to do is go looking for a restaurant. Even a mini bar with snacks or room service would have been a godsend. Then there's the breakfast. It's a limited fare. Western options are bacon, sausage and egg. Breads are mostly sweet. There is a cereal option that seems to be a cross of cornflakes and chocolate squares. Orange or either grape or cranberry juice was available as was tea and coffee. Korean options were porridge, rice, salad, vegetables and what looked like soup. There was also a fruit option of orange, melon and pineapple.||On the first night I also wanted an iron and ironing board but they were all booked out! They can't have many then. They did however put one in my room the next morning.||All in all its not a bad hotel, it was just let down by a few important oversights...
Read moreThe hotel is ok. I biggest problem is that you have no control over the A/C unit. Yes there is a panel on the wall but it really does nothing. The heat will cycle on without you even doing anything. You will turn it on say at 22:00 and at 02:00, while you're asleep, the heat will pop on. So at that point it wakes you up and then you have to go downstairs and tell the desk person to turn your A/C back on. This is not just me but my colleagues who are here with me and the one before had this same problem. I believe the panel on the wall is just to make you fell like you have control, but you really don't. God help you if you came in...
Read moreThis is a fairly newly renovated hotel and they did it right!! The rooms are simply amazing--spacious, bright, all modern amenities, etc. They also have a sauna--an authentic Korean sauna!!! For those visiting from outside Korea--take note and don't mss this experience. (Note that is "in the flesh" by sex and authentic in every way...)||The breakfast is ok, nothing to write home about, but not bad...the rest of the hotel sells itself. Don't forget...
