We are currently staying here for the WAGC golf finals. Unfortunately we still have a week left here.
We have received service here that you would not expect from a 1 star brothel, let alone a supposed 5 star hotel. Some of the staff we have dealt with are dismissive, couldn’t care less and at times have been downright rude with absolutely zero attempts to make right on their errors.
I won’t waste my time going into detail because based on the responses to other reviews, I am confident the reply we will get is going to be the same, which incidentally is more or less the response from staff when dealing with our issues: “we will try to train our staff better” - I see this has been the generic response for half a decade now, so it is clear nothing has changed, either in terms of service or in terms of attitude by the staff and management.
I have travelled the world for 20 years and have never left a single bad review in my life - even if the service wasn’t up to par. But so bad is our current experience here that it has compelled me to write a review for the first time in two decades.
It is important for people considering booking at this hotel/resort that expect certain amenities to be included - the only thing included is a bottle of water per person per day. Want to use the pool? $30/day. Want to use the Gym? $20/day.
For someone that has lived and loved Asia for many years, if this trip was my first experience of South Korea I would never come back here in my life. It is sad that the management of this hotel do such an unjust disservice to the culture and...
Read moreI had high expectations for this five-star hotel, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the rating. While the property presents itself as a luxury destination, the overall value felt more in line with a three-star stay.
The room we stayed in was advertised as a Mountain View, but in reality, it felt isolated and lacking in atmosphere. The location is remote, with very little to do nearby, making it hard to justify the premium price tag. For the same (or even lower) cost, you can find oceanfront accommodations elsewhere with far more to offer in terms of scenery and access to local experiences.
As for the attached theme park—it was underwhelming at best. It felt more like a filler attraction than a true entertainment destination, and definitely not worth planning your trip around.
If you’re looking for a memorable getaway, I’d recommend skipping this one and opting for a coastal resort that offers both better views and a more fulfilling...
Read moreGreat service and clean, modern hotel. But I would avoid staying there during peak periods. The capacity of the facilities is not designed for the amount of people there.
You have to queue for breakfast unless you go at 7am or after 10am. Sky pool was also great, but only one visit per day is included in certain rooms, and the pool is really filled with families with children. Not recommended for couples, even though from 20-22 the pool is a no kids zone.
Breakfast was decent with many western and asian options, but overpriced at 45000KRW. So was the hotel as it was really overpopulated with people. Still, I did enjoy my stay, but price to value ratio was not even close to right. For families it may be convenient, but still price was not justified, and not a 5 star hotel...
