HOTEL LUMIA MYEONGDONG — Hotel in Seoul

Four day trip to Seoul. Exceptionally happy with all aspects of the Lumia Hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful (but don't speak much English). They did provide directions with the help of Google maps and hand signals. Always had a smile and were glad to try to converse.||Room was of adequate size, clean and had a closet, shelf space and mini-fridge. Hard bed as expected. Two bottles of water daily. as well as normal bathroom amenities. View out window was of Namsan cable car and tower. Daily cleaning service.||Fantastic location 2 blocks (up hill) from Hoehyeon station (take IMMEDIATE right turn on street upon leaving station exit 1). Walking distance to Seoul station and City Hall station. Lots of food in immediate area. 10 minute walk to Myeongdong market. Convenience store on corner (where you turn right) at Hoehyeon station.||Elevator was quick but small. Rooftop garden roomy with nice views and tranquil setting. ||Five star rating for this 2 star hotel. Great price only...

We stayed there for a total of 4 days. Although the exact location might be hard to find at first since its not in the main road, but it is very near from the subway station. It would take you less than 5 mins uphill from it. The hotel is very near the nandaemun market as well. Myeondong market is a 10 min walk from the hotel. Brochures of different activities or tour are available upon entering the lobby. The room is quite small but they clean it everyday which is good. You would also have 2 bottles of water everyday. The staff are very friendly and helpful. despite most of the staff do not know how to speak in english, they would try ways to understand you. The would google translate or give signs so they can give directions. breakfast is provided. bread, porridge and other korean food are served with coffee and orange juice. Greta hotel with great service and even better location. So just FYI, there is a check in kiosk. There is usually an employee nearby during normal hours to assist if you need but nice you can do it yourself. Location is great as it's just off the major market (theres a small one near shinsegae dept store and the main night market about 10 minute walk away) . So great location and quiet just off the busy street. Great views from the rooftop. Rooms are decent. They were okay size and decently equipped. One thing, and this is not limited to this hotel but maybe a south Korean thing is there is a small gap under the shower door which can lead to water getting g outside the shower area. It would soak a whole floor towel if you were super careful. Also laundry machines on site which helped greatly. Overall...
