Horrible experience - at checkin I provided 2 passports and was requested to fill in address information twice on an old wacom tablet that doesnt take finger input but requires pen clicking 1 digit - so slow and extremley frustrating. Room was not ready and asked to wait - which is normal as it was early. I was told I would be contacted as soon as the room was ready and I shared that I would be there in the lounge working. After 2.5 hours I went back to ask about the room, it was ready and nobody contacted me. I was handed 1 key. I then asked for a second key for my wife - remember I provided 2 passports and filed out the wacom twice for each. A phone call lasting a few minutes for the desk clerk to authorize a second key. It was approved and we went off to the room. It was mentioned that the mini bar is included and I thought that was nice. A few hours later I was called to the front desk to sign a paper that acknowledge I needed to pay an additional 45 euros per night because I had 2 people - I have paid a similar at other hotels no issue - we had 3 interactions where it should have been brought up and i complained about the lack of attentivness. The next day the room was made up but with 1 towel, no refresh on the 2 water's and no refill on the coffees. Went to the front desk to ask for it to be fixed and the towels were added. Went back again for the waters and coffee - it was fixed. My wife ordered room service dinner - 2.5 hours later she called and it was delivered to the wrong room. The person said it would be delivered and no charge. On check out early morning the manager reminded me that I had signed the paper for the additional charge and I agreed, yes that wasnt an issue. He could not figure out how to add the charge and took him some time but finally (10 mins) was able to add it. When we mentioned the food was not to be on the bill because it was more than 2 hours delayed, he absolutely could not do anything about that.

That is the story of why I would not recommend - in response the hotel did refund the additional charge for the second person - which is not something I ever had a...

My wife and I have just returned from 6 days staying at the Steigenberger in Camp de Mar,our first holiday in Mallorca. The Hotel was 5 star fantastic. Everything was perfect, stunning rooms, grounds, pool, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and buffet breakfast was superb. A WORD OF WARNING. We booked this Hotel through an online travel agent called Love Holidays and during the booking process ticked their Airport Transfer ADD ON for what we thought should be a 30 minute minibus ride. This turned out to be a 2 and a half hour transfer nightmare! as the enormous public bus stopped at almost every resort between the airport and Steigenberger. We arrived at the hotel late at night feeling very wound up but very thoughtfully the hotel had arranged some complimentary refreshments knowing what had happened. Needless to say we tore up the return voucher opting instead for a cab which cost 50 euros and took 30 mins! This is not the hotel's fault as these Online Travel agents are free to sell their ADD ON'S without agreement of the Hotels. Do yourselves a favour and either jump in a taxi when you arrive at the airport or phone the Steinberger and they will be happy to arrange one for you. One other thing....Love Holidays sold us what they call a pool side room which turned out to be a room on the 4th floor that may have been on the same side of the large building as the pool, but didn't actually have any view of the Pool due to an inaccessible roof garden in the way! Whilst I'm sure the hotel would have done anything to accommodate us in an alternative room we didn't actually bother asking as we found we rather liked the privacy of our private balcony.

If you want a room that actually overlooks over the pool I recommend calling the Steigenberger direct to book. With hindsight we wished we had booked direct for the whole holiday. Camp de Mar has a...

I haven't been in such a quiet hotel for a long time. That's the first impression. The rooms are very spacious, clean, the beds are very comfortable. The terrace had a view of the pool and it was beautiful to get up in the morning drinking coffee in peace and birds chirping. The terraces have a table for sitting and one bed so that you can take a nap in the open air. The rooms are super air-conditioned. You set the temperature you want. Drinks are replenished daily in the mini bar and are free of charge. Breakfast was self-service and very varied and tasty. The service is at a high level. The pool is clean and cleaned every day which I had a chance to see as my room overlooked it. You always have beach towels by the pool on the counter and you can change them every day. The food at the pool bar is delicious and the service is fast. Prices are around 20e per dish. The only thing I would recommend is that you buy water in supermarkets, because tap water is not suitable for drinking. Water in the hotel is expensive 5.90e 1l. and in the market 1.50e. The general impression is that I would return to this hotel. The beach is about 300m away, but pleasant walks because the surroundings are very beautiful. The beach is beautiful in the bay and you have a market, a couple of restaurants, a bar... All the best. 5 stars

We have had the most wonderful week at the Steinberger Camp de Mar and what made it first and foremost were the staff who did everything possible to make sure our holiday was truly magical. Thank you to Benjamin for all your management and Alex for guest services. Thanks to all the restaurant and bar staff for making us feel like VIPs and Juan David for helping with my things. I also recommend Simone for treatments in the spa. Besides the staff, the highlights of the hotel for me were the location including seaside views and easy access to everything in Camp de Mar, the amazing breakfast and the spa facilities. The beds were a little hard for me, this is personal taste, but they accommodated me by putting on a mattress topper which I hugely appreciated. We were there as a group of girlfriends but I would easily return with my family. Definitely recommend.
