Maria 5 Beach — Restaurant in Andratx

Tried to go here on three occasions, with only the third being somewhat acceptable. The first occasion, despite being told we couldn’t book for drinks half of the allocated drinks tables were reserved. The second time we got seated and no waiter came to serve us. And the third time we decided to try and go for food. We didn’t pre book as it always looked half empty at lunch. At the entrance it seemed as if they were doing us a massive favour trying to find a table despite it being almost empty. Once we had sat down, on a table that was basically in the middle of the main path in and out, we were ignored as the waiters attended to three groups that had arrived and got seated after us. For food we both ordered sushi, the chicken was nice but the salmon sushi tasted nothing better than supermarket sushi despite having the price tag of top sushi in London. We paid in cash, and although there was service already included on the receipt they kept the change, and when we requested it back one waiter very rudely said ‘so no tip’ and laughed to another right in front of us. I recently visited Maria 5 Beach Restaurant for the second time during my holiday in Camp de Mar, and it just keeps getting better and better! The food is simply out of this world - the sushi is incredibly fresh, and the teppanyaki grill with the talented chef cooking right at your table provides an amazing dining experience. The cocktails and drinks menu is extensive and delicious. The bartenders really know how to make a proper cocktail! The atmosphere at Maria 5 is brilliant - both relaxed yet classy at the same time. The chic decor provides the perfect beachside dining setting. And the clientele adds to the vibe. It attracts just the right crowd - stylish yet welcoming. We had such an enjoyable evening dining and drinking there during our Majorca getaway. Everything about Maria Five Beach Restaurant is top-notch. Between the scrumptious food, skilled chefs, tasty drinks, laid-back ambiance and fantastic service, it's no wonder this has become one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Camp de Mar. Went to this restaurant after being recommended by a lovely couple we met at the beach and was super excited to go. Dressed up really nice, wore heels and unfortunately from start to finish the service was worse than poor. We waited for more than 15mins for a table we had already booked for it to be given away to a couple who walked in, we were told we could eat at the waiting area at a tiny table and one waiter seemed to have a problem with us from the start being very patronising and rude. I have a nut allergy and he was attentive at that point however the duck croquettes still came out with nuts on them (lucky my friend saw it as it was dark). By the time we got the attention of the staff the rest of our food was cold and after the same waiter asked us how everything was and we were honest saying the food was cold he once again was patronising and condescending and said "let me guess you want something for free" after that i was absolutely disgusted and demand the attention of the manager who was helpful.
