A fantastic hotel for those who enjoy activities and entertainment all day. We opted for the Romance Room and the exclusive package came with this automatically. In retrospect, we did not really make the most of the exclusive package for the below reasons :- -did not use the rooftop pool/loungers due to lack of shade and loungers looking a bit tired -Santa Rosa restaurant did not look busy and lack of 'current' vegetarian and vegan options -exclusive lounge did not always have vegetarian snack options which meant we ate out for lunch quite a bit -as you had to consume drinks in the exclusive lounge, we did not drink much as we did not want to sit in the lounge and miss out on the entertainment

As a vegan, I would not really recommend this hotel. I contacted Tigotan via email well in advance to enquire and let them know of my dietary requirements, did my research by reading reviews etc and also mentioned it again during check in. I would say that the staff mean well and try their best to accommodate but in general, I feel this hotel is a bit behind with veganism. The labels in the dining area are not always reliable and not all the staff understand veganism. I was offered uncooked tofu too many times and could not stomach it by the end of the week. Unfortunately I was misinformed on a few occasions too and ate foods that were not vegan. I would like to highlight a few of the staff that helped me - Jude, Pedro and Javier. On the final evening, I was offered the best of the vegan offerings and it is a shame that this quality was not available on all the other days. I believe this was a result of completing the questionnaire and speaking to a guest experience manager.

As a vegan, there were no snack options in the exclusive lounge bar ready salted crisps and fruit. I made use of the toastie machine (bought vegan cheese from supermarket opposite) and requested slices of bread off the staff in the exclusive lounge. A big shout out to Carlos who manned the exclusive lounge most of the week. Carlos worked very hard and was very friendly.

The entertainment at the hotel is fab. The animation team at the hotel work hard to offer a variety of games and demonstrations. A big shout out to Melissa, Domenica and Debbie for keeping us occupied and entertained all week. The days at Tigotan fly by with everything on offer from pool side shows to pilates and all sorts!

We cannot comment on the food available at the beach bar as there were no vegan offerings here. Lots of people seemed to enjoy the lunch options available and it was great that the food was delivered to the sunloungers. We ate at Cafe del Mar on one occasion as they had a vegan meal labelled on the menu- a tofu poke bowl but again, the tofu was uncooked so the meal was not really enjoyed.

We opted for late checkout at the cost of 60 euros (dearer than advertised on the screens around the hotel). It would have been great to have been offered late checkout at a discounted rate as a gesture of goodwill for the difficulties with the food etc however this was not offered.

The cleaners refreshed our room daily! The Romance Room was quite compact except for the oversized hot tub. Also, the window to the double shower from the room itself was hilarious! Lots of storage in our room. We did feel that the room could do with a bit of attention e.g the white net curtains on the balcony door were no longer white and had black stains all along the bottom, the sinks were stained from make up and toothpaste and the floors could do with being replaced. The rooms and the communal areas are much nicer than the other areas in the hotel which are, in my opinion, in need of a total refurb. The lifts and corridors looked really dirty and in need of attention.

All in all, a great week away! We won't be returning to Tigotan ourselves as we rarely re-visit a hotel but would recommend to friends and family. A fab place for those looking for a...

Recently returned from my first holiday to Tenerife staying at Tigotan for 10 nights. For such a long stay, I am glad that I chose this hotel. First impressions blew me away, we arrived late and the girl that checked us in was fabulous. The best check in experience I've had anywhere. She was friendly, down to earth and explained absolutely everything we needed to know, welcoming us with a glass of cava. We had paid extra to book the exclusive room which lets you use the exclusive area. Our room was a decent size with the biggest jetted bath I've ever seen in my life. The led strip light and built in sound system were nice added touches. Bed was very comfortable with a pillow menu also. We read some reviews previous that said the mini fridge doesn't keep things cool, we didn't have an issue with this. The wardrobe area was large with plenty shelving which was great as I like to leave my clothes in packing cubes. The balcony was a decent size and sectioned off so neighbours can't see you. The only thing that might be an issue for some is the fact that the shower has a large glass panel looking into the room. The toilet is opposite the shower meaning your partner sitting on the bed can see you using the toilet. If the curtains are open, you can see people on the balconies opposite whist using the toilet. We only had one issue with our room and that was the safe wouldn't lock, however when we asked reception, they came up immediately to check and sent someone to replace the safe within the hour, no issues after that. The breakfast and dinner are fabulous, plenty of selection to try however we didn't eat here every single day, it's not themed so you might get bored if you chose to only eat here. Plenty of great spots to try locally though. The pastries were probably the nicest thing for breakfast and their deserts are sublime, I am pescetarian and managed to find enough food to fill me. We did use the a la carte restaurant here on one evening, the food was top notch. The exclusive area was one of our favourite features about this hotel in the sense that you can pour your own drink. No watered down drinks, pure spirits and mixers. I found myself opting for mimosas with the cava and orange in the mini fridge. Selection of snacks every day, sometimes sweet treats. Pool areas were brilliant, never had to fight for a sunbed. The foam party on Fridays was so much fun, dancers and entertainment were top quality.

It is very important that I mention the staff. Every single staff member I encountered was friendly, polite and went out of their way to make the holiday perfect. Housekeeping always said hello and never once bothered us in our room, the restaurant staff were on the ball, replacing cutlery and removing plates so nothing was left dirty. Never had to wait for a drink at dinnertime, we were greeted and asked about our day/holiday by what looked like a manager on entry to dinner. Every single staff member is a credit to the experience and I'd like to thank them all for making our holiday wonderful. The cleaners here do a spectacular job because not once was anything dirty, the floors, the toilets, the pool areas - spotless. Special mention to the ladies on reception, helping any way they could when my boyfriend experienced a medical emergency. They phoned us taxis to and from the hospital, filled his water bottle and made sure to check up on him when they next saw him. These things matter so much and will stick with our memories of the holiday. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and would not think twice about another stay with them. Thank you so much for making our holiday so enjoyable! We will remember this for...

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER… THE HOTEL DID NOT EVEN PROVIDE BASIC THINGS LIKE OKAYISH FOOD AND ENOUGH SUNBEDS… FOR 3500€ for less than a week … ROBBERY!! RUDE RECEPTIONISTS … THE HOTEL DIRECTOR KNEW ABOUT IT & DID NOT CARE! REALLY SAD, SINCE WAITERS, COOKS,CLEANING LADIES WHO EARN THE LEAST PUT SO MUCH EFFORT INTO THEIR WORK & THE ONES WHO ARE ABOVE THEM DESTROY EXPERIENCE BY THEIR OWN BEHAVIOUR….

Check-in Chaos and Receptionist’s Attitude We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, and the receptionists were FULLY AWARE of our presence. They told us to wait until 3 PM, which we patiently did. When I asked for our room keys at 3 PM, the staff – without ANY apology – told us we’d have to wait another hour because the room wasn’t ready. When I asked if check-in wasn’t supposed to be at 3 PM, they replied, “Yes, but it’s high season, so you’ll need to wait an extra hour.”

What made this even more frustrating was the fact that we were the ONLY‼️‼️‼️guests checking in at the time. WHYYYYY was it so hard to prioritize our room? The staff had known for OVER 1 HOUR‼️‼️‼️‼️ that we were there – why DIDN’T they inform housekeeping to ensure our room was ready?

To make matters worse, the receptionist became visibly irritated when I expressed my disappointment. She THREW the room key at me as if I WERE A DOG, when I asked one of receptionist where the room is, she just gave me a dirty look 😒😒😒

This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. I MYSELF WORK IN A HOTEL AND EVEN WITH THE WORST GUESTS I NEVER ALLOWED MYSELF SUCH BEHAVIOUR LIKE THAT GIRL AT THE RECEPTION DID!!!! We also raised this issue with the hotel director. However, even from his side, there was NO apology. I asked if it would be possible to check out later since we checked in so late, and his response was simply, “You’ll need to ask reception.” (Aka idc) In the end, we checked out at 11 AM like everyone else – no apologies, no compensation, and NO effort to address the issue.

Terrible Food Quality HOW??? How did the hotel manage to find such bad food in Spain? This is an island where fresh produce like vegetables is generally cheap and abundant, yet even the vegetables here looked CHEAP and unappetizing. The food was consistently TERRIBLE throughout the week, and even for New Year’s Eve, they didn’t provide anything decent or festive. I ASKED MYSELF, HOW YOU WERE NOT ASHAMED OF PROVIDING SUCH PRODUCTS TO YOUR GUESTS??

Here’s the kicker😂😂😂: we went on a cheap boat tour, and even there, the food quality was far better than what this hotel served. How is it possible for a budget tour to outperform a supposedly high-class hotel? For a hotel that charges premium rates, this is an ABSOLUTE disgrace.

Sunbed Struggle There are simply TOO FEW sunbeds for the number of guests. If you want a guaranteed sunbed, you’ll have to pay over €50 for a reservation…. We constantly felt stressed because of the sunbed situation. I came on vacation to RELAX, not to have breakfast in a rush and run straight to reserve a sunbed.AGAIN WHEN WE CHECKED-IN NO ONE TOLD US ABOUT PRIOR RESERVATIONS… we found it out when it was already TOO LATE to reserve any sunbed in THE WHOLE HOTEL. BECAUSE OF THAT WE HAVE LOST A WHOLE DAY‼️ that we could have spent enjoying the sun‼️‼️ INSTEAD WE HAD TO PLAN OTHER THINGS IN A RUSH… AGAIN‼️VERY POOR HOTEL MANAGEMENT WHICH COSTED US A LOT OF MONEY In December it was also too cold to swim since they don’t have a single heated pool. They charge EXTRA IN WINTER BUT PROVIDE 0 SERVICE FOR THAT We love Tenerife and will definitely return to the island, but will never stay at this hotel again. Absolutely not...

Fantastic Stay – Even Better the Second Time Around! We’ve now stayed at Tigotan twice, and we feel like we’ve finally figured out how to make it the perfect holiday spot. Our first visit was last year, when we booked a poolside room — ideal for enjoying the evening entertainment from the comfort of our balcony. The shows here are seriously impressive! Last year we saw an Elton John tribute (the likeness and voice were uncanny), and this year we were treated to a Queen performance. While the lead singer didn’t look like Freddie, he definitely sounded like him! For our second stay, we opted for a different room setup but added the Exclusive Service package. To keep the price reasonable, we gave up the poolside view — and while the room was still excellent (clean, modern, comfy beds, and a great shower), next time I’ll definitely combine both the poolside view and the Exclusive Service. Being at the front/side of the hotel does mean more street noise — and we unfortunately had some loud late-night shouting from passersby. Plus, our room was close to the stairs and lift, so we picked up a bit of internal noise too. That said, we still managed a decent night’s sleep. Food quality has definitely improved since last year. There’s a wide selection, and you can get freshly cooked pasta, meat, and other dishes prepared right in front of you. Just note that the menu rotates daily — so if you find something you love, maybe grab a little extra (haha)! The Exclusive Lounge was a great addition this time around. It offers a continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and a variety of drinks including soft drinks, juice, alcohol, and coffee. One minor complaint: the lounge closes at 6:30pm. So it’s great if you’re into daytime relaxing (or drinking!), but at night you’ll be back to paying full price like everyone else. Also, the lounge is located in the glass atrium area near the reception stairs — beautiful, but it can get pretty warm. As part of the Exclusive Service, you also get discounts at the wellness centre. We booked a massage during our stay, and it was absolutely fantastic — highly recommended! The staff at Tigotan are another major reason we returned. On the first day of our second stay, we were checked in by a lovely woman (I wish I could remember her name!) who was friendly, informative, and made sure we had everything we needed. Later that same evening, she even came to our rescue after we accidentally locked ourselves out on the balcony — at 11pm! Throughout the week, she remained just as welcoming and helpful every time we passed her. All the staff we encountered were genuinely kind and attentive. A special mention to Miguel in the Exclusive Lounge — I had some great conversations with him during our stay. He was warm, professional, and really added to the overall positive experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a premium feel, both inside and out. The reception area is sleek and stylish, almost like a relaxed piano bar. Outdoor areas are also modern and very well maintained. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into the hotel’s refurbishment — the transformation from its previous identity is truly impressive. The pools are clean, inviting, and perfect for hot days. I even checked the temperatures: the main pool was around 30°C and the jacuzzi was about 35°C in July — both pleasantly warm and easy to slip into without any shock to the system. All in all, Tigotan continues to impress, and with a few small tweaks to our booking next time, I think we’ll have the ultimate experience. Highly recommended!

My wife and I really enjoyed our 7 night stay at Tigotan. We stopped on the 4th floor overlooking the pool with a sea view, in the upgraded Deluxe room. I can't speak for the standard rooms, but the Deluxe 1 we stopped in was nicely presented, clean and an adequate size, with a dual walk in rain fall style shower/smaller hosed one. The room came with a standardised safe with a few additional drinks, left for us in the minibar/fridge. ( part of the upgraded room service). Where this Hotel excels above many others we've stopped in previously, is the amazing, attentive and friendly nature of the staff. They can't do enough for you it seems!. From the nice/friendly and warm welcome , receiving a champagne arrival from the reception staff. To all the servers and chefs in the breakfast service. The entertainment ladies around the pool in the day/evening entertainment also. Literally every area you can think of, down to the room attendants you briefly meet who are polite also, the staff are brilliant here. Always smiling and welcoming its really refreshing to witness, compared with other Hotels in my experience. The staff for us is the main attraction why we would return. An additional special thanks to Maiko who offered exceptional service. We observed he would go out of his way for many of the guests, a true gentleman and a credit to the Hotel. Dario aswel, a nice young man and a few to many others to mention to be honest, the Hotel has some great characters and hard workers on site, offering exceptional service. They really know how to cater to people's needs while remaining professional and friendly in their respective roles. The evening entertainment was really good to. Giving you the option to stay at the Hotel if your that way inclined in the evening. Myself and my wife like heading to all the local bars, but ended up utilising the Hotel for a couple of evenings. Being the entertainment advertised caught our attention on many occasions. Some amazing bands were booked, even down to playing Bingo for fun. The Hotel has lovely and clean pool areas, with a stunning rooftop terrace/bar playing music throughout the day. It was nice just sitting out on the balcony , while unwinding with a drink or 2 ha. The exclusive lounge is a worthwhile upgrade aswell. Credit to the guests also, as everyone was mindful and respectful to the service on offer in this area. Remaining considerate/mindful to other guests using this service. The food in the restaurant was varied and nice, with a delicious variety of pastries and desserts. Overall just a fantastic Hotel/experience, we can't wait to return...keep up the good work everyone 👏 .

Absolutely not recommended. DO NOT GO!
