Cafe del Mar Playa de las Americas — Restaurant in Arona

My journey with this place began while I was searching for the perfect spot to enjoy drinks and sunset views for my wheelchair-bound boyfriend's birthday. I wanted a bar that could reserve a spot for us, ensuring we could enjoy the sunset without competing for the view. Although it was not possible to book a table, the amazing support I received during my conversations with the hotel staff convinced me to give it a try and visit the bar anyway.

The bar is perched atop the beautiful Hotel Tigotan, and we nearly decided to book an overnight stay.

The view was absolutely stunning, and the location where we were seated was ideal. The incredible staff helped us select the perfect options to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday.

The exceptional service didn't stop there. Lua, one of the staff members, brought immense joy and enthusiasm to his role. It felt as though he personally took on the responsibility of ensuring my boyfriend's experience was unparalleled. The rest of the staff was equally amazing and accommodating.

The bar offered a plethora of signature drinks, including a Tenerife Mojito that I particularly enjoyed, alongside a variety of delicious classic cocktails. Definitely among the best we've had. As the sun set, we were provided with blankets and heaters, making our extended conversation cozy and delightful.

A lovely view and location, with lots of potential to be a great place. Maybe it was the day we were there and we were just unlucky, but the service was painfully slow. I know we are on holiday and enjoying a slower pace of life, but there was no acknowledgement of us being there and not a friendly atmosphere. When the lady came over, she was curt and dismissive, to the point of us actually laughing at how ridiculous it was! It's a shame, but for us it was not a good...

Beautiful rooftop with gorgeous views of Teide on one side and the ocean on the other. We went there for the sunset and couldn't have picked a better spot!
