Honest review from a well-traveled individual-||Check-in - |The staff at reception are very friendly, and check-in was easy. We arrived around 12:45 pm and couldn't access our rooms until 2 pm, but we were given our room keys, and a 1 pm lunch was served, allowing us to go to the bar for drinks. When we could go to our room staff explained about the door and gave great directions to where our room was placed. ||Room-|When we entered the room, it was spotless. The room was simple, containing a large wardrobe with a lot of hangers, a desk with a chair, and side tables next to the bed. Our bed was 2 singles put together, but they were very comfy, and there were extra pillows in the wardrobe pillows were soft and comfy also. The balcony was clean with a table and 2 chairs. There was only my partner and me, so this was enough. I can safely say that both me and my partner had great nights sleep and couldnt hear much from other rooms tbh the odd chair maybe scraping along floor but couldnt hear loud people from other rooms i do believe the higher up your are the less noise you do hear from below we were 4th floor and we were able to have good night sleep each night and didnt get woken up by anyone coming back into hotel early morning.||Bar- |Bar staff were awesome and quick with service, and very chatty and got along with everyone. There is a menu for the all-inclusive drinks that you need to ask to see, they dont have this out on the bar. The cups you pay a 1 euro fee for each cup, and then when you want to give the cups back, you get your euro back. Lots of hotels are now doing this, either pay a euro or you are given a token. An effective way and just to keep going up to get refills on your drink they will either just clean the cup you have or get a new one for your new drink. The bar is where u get your snacks from. Snacks range from toasties, cheesy chips, hot dogs, burgers, and ice cream, so good range that all will enjoy. The time is 10 am to 11 pm for drinks time for snacks are displayed at the bar. They also have a slush machine to create slush cocktails; however, this is not included in the all-inclusive drinks. Only 2 cocktails were available on all-inclusive sex on the beach and a tutti frutti cocktail. this was a little disappointing that only 2 cocktails were available.||Food-|Staff were very helpful and worked hard to ensure tables were clean and had everything you needed. The food was good, there was something that you would enjoy eating from, of course chips, nuggets, onion rings, wedges, the basic stuff (that people always go to for some reason, you go diff countries to try different foods). But they had different paellas on each day, from seafood, mixed meat, veg, and they also had a curried paella, which was amazing. I also enjoyed the vegetable cannelloni. They had different meats, including pork, chicken, and steak, and these were cooked and never dry. They also offered different fish, cod, salmon, and tuna steaks. Also full range of salads, meats, and cheeses. In the evening, they had pizzas. They were good, but the dough was a little chewy, but they tasted nice. They also had some pasta dishes also for example, carbonara, pasta bolognese, etc.||Pool and Sunloungers-|So pools and surrounding areas were clean and tidy, and the pool temperature wasn't too bad either, the area got sun most of the day. The pool opens at 10 am and closes around 6, and staff begin to put loungers back in being stacked around this time. If you want a lounger, then got to be there early didn't see any battles for loungers, but defo get there early if you want one. They also have two terraced areas on either side of the pool, up some steps that have loungers and a rooftop as well (6th floor). In the evening, some people went into the pool at evening when highly intoxicated and also threw their kids in Security didn't do anything about this so staff are very relaxed there but quiet times for use of pool to swim or just have dip is when it firsts opens and after water polo around 3:30 pm. There is also a smaller pool around the back with some loungers. Next to the pool is also a pizzeria that does cheap pizzas and other dishes that you can takeaway into your room or to your loungers or chairs i had hawain piiza (dont judge) and my partner had margerita pizza with some cheese sticks and portion of chips they were awesome pizza was amazing better than pizza in the all inclusive.||Surrounding Area-|When leaving the hotel, turn left and then take the first left. There are two supermarkets, one right on the corner and a Superdino a few shops further up, with some bars and restaurants in between. Superdino is a cheaper supermarket, almost like our Aldi or Lidl. The hotel is not far from Veronica's or the golden mile. I recommend going to Chillbox, the slush cocktails are divine, and the coffees are just outstanding. Also, go to First Choice Excursions for all your activities, amazing staff, and so lovely, and help you out and provide clear instructions for pick-ups. The beaches are awesome and have lots of bars and restaurants, and beach clubs along them. We went to a restaurant called Milos, and the cocktails there were awesome, and we had a toasted sandwich with fries, and they tasted amazing.||Excursions and days out-|We went on 3 excursions, which we booked with First Choice Excursions. The first one we went on was the Night Skies Tenerife Starwatching Tour. This was amazing, you get picked up, we got picked up from the Tigotan Hotel, as Columbus was not on the list for pickup. We then went to a small village and had a tea meal was basic but lovely, and had water, wine, or soft drinks on the table to choose from for drinks. At this point, do go toilet as there are no toilets. We then went further up the volcano teide and watched sunset with glass of cava and you had your photos taken with the sunset and then went to highest point and got to watch the stars learn about the stars from the tour guides and get a picture taken under the stars and look through telescope to see the stars. Awesome night. We went to the monkey park where you feed guinea pigs and monkeys, and get to see parrots was a lovely little morning out. I suggest getting there when it opens at 9:30 takes about 1 to 1 and a half hours to go around the whole park. Our last excursion was the freebird catamaran was 3hrs long, and we got to see pilot whales. It was amazing, and then we stopped for a swim. A small sandwich was provided, and drinks available were included in the price. This was coffee, soft drinks water. We went for walks around Las Americas, Los Christianos, and Costa Adeje. We also went to the market in Costa Adeje, which runs on Thursdays and Saturdays, 9 am to 14:00 pm. The market is good for all your bags, trinkets, and shirts.||Overall, our holiday was amazing and we had a lovely time and enjoyed it. We never went hungry, and we felt safe, and we had great night sleeps. Would we return to the...
Read moreI’ve just come back from a week away in Tenerife stopping at this hotel and this is an honest review of my stay.|Board : All Inclusive. |Duration : 7 Nights.|Guests : 2 Adults. |Room : Block 2, room 282, Double or Twin room Balcony/ Terrace. |Price: £1106.40||On arrival we were too early to check in to our room, check in is 2pm, we were able to leave our luggage securely and get our wrists bands so we could eat and drink still. The lady on reception didn’t give us too much information on the hotel on stuff such as meal times, where the dining area was but gave us the QR code to the website that tells you all you need to know. ||When we did get to our room we were overall impressed. We didn’t pay extra for a pool view so didn’t get the best of views but you cannot fault that. The room was a little dated but clean, which is all that matters for the price we paid. Unfortunately there were stains on the bedding and hand marks on the headboard but that’s me being picky. ||The food had a variety! We ate breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner on our stay and didn’t struggle to eat once. The drinks at meal times are help yourself. The only problem we did face was there’s a sign behind the bar for snacks saying open and closing times and this is different to the times on the app, so we were denied snacks one day due to this. On the sign it says 3pm-4pm and on the app it says 3pm-5pm.||When getting a drink at the bar you have to give a refundable deposit of €1 which means you have a plastic cup for the entire stay ( they do clean your cup or give you a new one whenever! ) you get your money back when you return your cup at the end of the holiday. Drink wise is a huge variety, all cocktails were included and they have a different cocktail of the day every day! Spirits were included (local brands) and they have a variety of soft drinks too. Lucila and Vanessa at the bar are brilliant, good customer service, friendly faces and make the stay enjoyable. |Laura on the bar however, I found rather rude. She shouts asking for your order whilst still serving the person in front of you which makes you shout down the bar your order. Doesn’t greet you politely and makes you feel a bit on edge. She refused a man a drink because he was sweating - you can’t go to the bar wet if you’ve just got out of the pool (understandable) but she turned him away due to him having sweat on his chest!||We didn’t venture to ‘The corner’ or ‘The pub’ as it wasn’t included in the All Inclusive but didn’t need to as we ate and drank well but there is the option of these 2 places if you wanted to eat / drink something different or not part of All Inclusive.||There is free wifi and its signal reaches all parts of the hotel and is very good. ||The hotel has a games room and 4 pool tables all together which me and partner really enjoyed. ||Altogether the hotel has 4 pools, 1 being a baby pool as well as a jacuzzi. We only went in the pool once, it was too cold for us but it was very clean and always people in it. ||There was never any issues getting a sun lounger, there are plenty around all pools but there is also at both ends of the pools and upstairs secluded part with plenty of beds and umbrellas, this area is perfect if you want to get away from noise and catch the sun as the sun catches you all day there. ||The whole hotel was always clean, all the public areas including the toilets were spotless and smelt lovely! There is a luggage storage room and showers if you have a late check out. ||The only downfall we really experienced in our weeks stay is other guests being inconsiderate. I believe you do get what you pay for and with it being cheaper you get hen dos, stag dos and young party groups. This unfortunately for us meant out of 7 nights were woken up 6 nights!! As soon as it hits 3am/ 4am expect to be woken up by people returning from their nights out, singing, shouting, arguing and slamming doors. I don’t want to fault the hotel for this as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but I do think they do need to do something to prevent this. 3 nights of our stay we were away for 2 hours, maybe longer, with one individual punching and kicking doors, swearing and threatening people, threatening to kick the door down. It really was an experience to say the least. I do believe this was all due to over indulgence in alcohol though. There is security on reception but maybe these should be throughout the hotel as well to prevent this from happening. Due to this we wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend taking young children or elderly people as it will not be pleasant for them. ||Overall for a 3 star hotel we would give this hotel 4 stars and would recommend to friends. I just think something should be done to prevent the inconsiderate guests...
Read moreWhere to even begin with this place. Upon arrival our room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, and after 5 min shower the drain clogged. Didn’t know that was the best of it though. On third night we encountered 10 cockroaches in one night, they were crawling under the hotel door from the corridor which has rubbish sitting in it all day as only the maids clean it and the night staff don’t even bother to put stuff in a bin. They were coming out of about 10 different cracks in the walls, and our friends on same booking encountered the same. Big, small, american, german and even babies 🤮. When day staff were asked to help, they first told me to go to the shop and buy bug spray. They claimed that it was our fault for leaving the balcony open or having snacks open, neither of which we done for the entire holiday, and especially not after seeing the first one. After the 10 came out i informed night staff who tried to convince me that this amount is normal for tenerife and I was being a baby. A quick google search will prove this statement untrue. When asked to remove the cockroach bodies from our hotel, a member of staff kicked them all the way across out floor, scattering their body parts all over our room without cleaning anything. He also just left the bodies in the hall all night as well. The reception claim the night staff are not managed by them, which makes sense since they sit about doing nothing and actively use their power to just shout spanish at people for no reason or intimidate them. The day staff are at least customer service trained. After not sleeping at all because i know theres cockroaches in my walls, We finally managed to get our room moved by the reception - 3 doors down on the same floor in another filthy room. At this point I just resolved to spraying bug spray all over the flat to ease my worries, but this caused the room to be toxic. Not really what you want on holiday, a room full of poison chemicals because the staff don’t provide any help themselves. We were informed by maids that there is a cockroach infestation on the third floor that has not been dealt with properly. This also explains why i met a pest control guy in the lift going to the third floor, the day before seeing 10 in my room. It is clear that there is an infestation and upon being sprayed the roaches scattered under doors and into peoples rooms, which obviously have not been sprayed. Not only is this ineffective pest control (especially for a hotel with a restaurant 🤮), they even lied about it and tried to keep us from knowing. Oh and on the final night our shower began spewing stinking sewage out of its drain, stinking out the row. It took them 4 hours after asking for someone to fix it for them to send someone. This hotel is also completely useless unless you can sleep through bombs dropping as thats what it sounds like every hour with people screaming and banging doors at 4am - security doing absolutely nothing because it would require effort. I have photos and videos of everything i experienced here, and I even received a refund from the booking agency due to how bad the hotel is. If you have any idea how hard it is to get a refund from loveholidays, all it took was half my evidence and they agreed it was unacceptable. If you have kids you don’t want crawling about in roach droppings or you enjoy sleeping or you like a hotel thats not filthy or you dont like cockroaches crawling about your things and your body while you sleep. Absolute nightmare and dive of a place. Many friends and family told us they had been here before and it was excellent, but it is clear only the name and location still remains, none of the quality. Shut your hotel down and clean it please its stinking.
Edit - Reply by them is laughable. They only offered us a new room on the third complaint because i phoned our travel company and complained. And no pest control guy ever came to our room. Stop lying. Can you not see the 10 photos of...
