Hotel Madreselva Los Caños de Meca — Hotel in Barbate

We spent 2 nights in October 2024 as a family of four in the 2-bedroom apartment of the hotel. We have stayed at the hotel twice before. It i situated on the main road in Los Caños, two mins from the beach. Secure parking is available next to the hotel. There is a small pool. The courtyard of tropical plants is absolutely beautiful and invites you to enjoy your breakfast or a drink outside. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay. The apartment has traditional furnishings, comfortable beds, the bathrooms have showers, a small kitchen with a fridge is available, which we did not use during out short stay. It also has three terraces with seating. We were able to bring our dachshund for a small fee. Breakfast in the morning in the bar was absolutely beautiful and delicious and a highlight of our stay! SE SOSTIENE GRACIAS A SU PERSONAL. Después de estar el año pasado unos días en el mes de Agosto, decidí volver este año, por bastantes más días aprovechando la grata experiencia vivida. Aun así, debo decir que por parte de la dirección de este hotel se está abandonando bastante su mantenimiento y conservación. Si el año pasado el mantenimiento era defectuoso, esperaba sinceramente que en este año hubieran aprovechado para, durante la temporada de cierre, que dura varios meses, hacer arreglos y mejoras. Todo continúa exactamente igual o peor, al no haber sido reparado; puertas de los años 80 con sus respectivos y añejos picaportes, ventanas del baño oxidadas, grifería vieja, cortinajes sin lavar ni desinfectar, apliques que se caen, enchufes que no funcionan, bombillas que se funden y no se cambian, toalleros descolgados, mesas con tableros que se mueven, todas las mesas del jardín cojeando haciendo que los desayunos se conviertan en juegos malabares, y un largo listado de desperfectos y falta de atención a los pequeños detalles que se supone que este hotel , de un grupo hotelero importante que se publicita como un grupo importante al cuidado de los detalles en sus instalaciones y servicios, debería tener presente. Considero que el cuidado debe ser que lo han dedicado y lo dedican a otros de sus negocios, pero no así al Hotel Madreselva. Aun así, mi experiencia la han salvado, además del entorno de Los Caños, que es un paraíso natural, las excelentes profesionales que se parten la cara con los clientes que acuden a ellas con las quejas que este mal mantenimiento y esta dejadez provocan. Siempre con una sonrisa, y una atención de escucha, intentando solucionar lo que está en sus manos. Mi agradecimiento y reconocimiento a todas las trabajadoras del Madreselva; especialmente a María José y Leo (limpieza, desayunos, jardín, y un largo etcétera), grandes profesionales y seguramente grandes personas, y Natalia, en recepción, tan linda por fuera como por dentro.
