I was a bit concerned after reading some of the other reviews but we gave the place the benefit of the doubt... ||7 of us all paid our deposits of €50 for our room on individual cards and only some of us received our deposits back. although the man on reception told us all deposits had been returned, 5 days later, this has not been the case. I have written it off because I don't believe it will come through now purely because on the first night when we arrived i mentioned to reception about the reviews regarding people not getting deposits back and Harvey on reception made a point of returning my deposit there and then whilst checking in to show it would come back straight away when we checked out (I had to pay the deposit again but he just wanted to show me) - on checking out the same card that was used received no money back & it still hasn't been returned. ||We were told that our party of 7 had broken a kettle and would have to take €30 from our deposit, this was fine, it was taken from one card and we split the difference between our group, we are not going to row over €30 however when we asked could we see this kettle and we were told no. I do not believe this kettle was touched during our stay, we actually moved things we weren't using into cupboards because there was such little space in the room.||I would just like to point out that Harvey, who works on reception in the evenings is very nice and can not speak highly of him. Just a shame he was not working when we were checking out as I know the issue would have been sorted immediately. |Harvey was very friendly and always had time for us if we walked past him he would give us a little wave and say hello. ||We had booked one of the dorm rooms for 8 people which had bunk beds and a room with 2 beds, this was fine but the pictures on the website do not reflect the room we were met with. Please, if you are a party of 4 or more, do not book one of the dorm style rooms as the bunk beds are bigger than any bunk beds I've seen - so high up with no sides so if you fall off you will seriously hurt yourself. My friends ended up having to take their mattresses from the top bunks and sleeping on the floor. Also, there is one built in wardrobe so no storage for larger parties. There are definitely some really lovely rooms in the hotel so if you are a larger party book over two rooms. ||There are 4 lifts and only 1 worked - not ideal when you are checking out from one of the top floors and the lift is full every time. We ended up dragging our suitcases down the stairs. Hopefully the hotel will look into fixing the other lifts. ||The roof terrace would have been lovely if the bar had been open but it was shut while we were up there meaning we had to go all the way back down to the pool if we wanted a drink. Ended up just going to the shop across the road and getting a carry out from there. I think sunset would be gorgeous up there. ||No sun loungers, only deckchairs which are comfortable enough. The daybeds I believe were €120. people were just lying around on the ground. I can see why they do not have sun loungers as the space isn't massive so just if you are visiting try and get there early to get a deckchair or a good spot by the pool.||I really don't want to drag the place down too much - it is what it is and we had good fun. ||the location is right at the end of new town and just a short walk there are plenty of places to eat and drink, not too far from the beach and the area felt safe, much safer than outside some of the hotels down near the strip. ||The food was decent, ice creams etc which were lovely and a good choice of food. Nice little dining area.||The indoor area with the pool, dj booth etc looked really good but we didn't get to make use of it. ||The hotel had some nice little touches for halloween which...
Read moreLiterally just got back yesterday stayed Monday to Thursday. Stag Do - group of 4 men early 30s. ||||Firstly I don’t think this hotel is a horror show like what some of the bad reviews suggest, but it’s not much better than ‘yeah it’s good it’s alright, not bad’ the party room was clean on arrival and was cleaned twice during our stay, ample plug sockets, 1 bedroom 2 showers and 2 beds in living room with tv and sound bar which was decent and the room seemed pretty sound proof as we pumped up the music and stood outside our room to test lol. ||||The food was alright, breakfast was good, usual All Inc Buffet, small selection but it was good enough, it was abit hit and miss with the temp of the food sometimes red hot, sometimes very cold even a big difference from one tray to the next, but we wasn’t really fussy eaters at all. ||||Abit of a catch with the All Inc timetable tho, not sure if it states this anywhere on the websites, but it closes at 7pm which I thought was abit early especially if you’re planning on having evening dinner, getting ready and then having pre-drinks before hitting the strip. And you also have cup tickets which you have to remember to save, (only one each) exchange the ticket at the start of your drinking for your cup and receive the ticket upon handing the cup back in, kinda like a deposit. If lost it’s €1 per cup. ||||There is also quite a few hidden charges which some may have already mentioned.. €50 per person deposit for the cleanliness of the room, but they make you put it all on one card, the 4 poster day beds seen in the pictures are only for rent and not included for guests (at a hefty €150-200 with a 1L spirit, depending on which one and whether bed is poolside or in shade lol) ||||This next bit might seem controversial but I think it’s honest, I personally wouldn’t really recommend this hotel for women or especially younger women early 20s, because even though I’m a 32yr old man and wouldn’t want a sausage fest of a hotel full of blokes, I felt some situations very cringey and pushy like 50yr+ men being extra hands on and pervy to the younger women, and I know it’s all kinda fair game if you’re out there to party and to hook up maybe, but not arse slapping and grabbing when they young enough to be ya daughter man. ||||Quick summary to finish off, hotel not bad for a base, on the top of quite a steep hill to get to anywhere -beach, shops, bars, but relatively close to it all. Food- as you’d expect for 3* no dodgey stomachs and ate well everyday. All Inc drinks are good, top brands and very strong, just finishes at 7pm. Didn’t use either pool outdoor/indoor as how it was layed out it was like everyone is faced to be watching you, no sun loungers just plastic chairs around the pool facing in. Staff all friendly and helpful so can’t fault that at all good service, and I did actually receive my deposit back just 3hrs after checking out whereas some cases have said they either haven’t at all or had to wait over a week or longer. The rooftop bar isn’t as run down as what some people have said either, although to do think it was pretty pointless, and the lift going up there was quite nervy.||||So overall not bad if you just want to get absolutely wasted sitting round a pool to house/ drum and base music lol||||Not saying we didn’t but, that’s pretty much it...
Read morePerfect getaway for a girlie weekend to Benidorm Close to the beach but be prepared to climb a few hills back to the hotel. We arrived late on a Thursday night even though women in our 40s we still had to pay a refundable deposit in case of any damage (50 euros per person) easier to pay on card as they only request pre authorisation. Wrist bands for the all inclusive also open the room doors and you are given a voucher for your cup, no cup no drink or you pay 1 euro if you loose your cup. Only one drink at a time. Checked into our room, a huge room for 4 immaculately clean and smelt fresh, had a large balcony. Breakfast is served at the later time of 9-11am which is great for the late nights. The buffet style breakfast is extremely tasty and very quiet, although there is a DJ so imagine it's normally very loud. Pool area is lovely, really clean and lots of chairs. Only issue is it's shaded most of the day. Day beds/cabanas are available but at a premium charge, also in the shade. Can't imagine the chairs would be comfortable to sunbathe and a nightmare for tanning your back. We didn't go in the pool as too cold for the outside and the inside pool had a foam party going on. The hotel holds pool party's/foam party's Friday Saturday and Sunday. We caught the end of a party on Friday when we returned to the hotel as we had visited the beach bars for the live entertainment and drinks in the afternoon. Didn't make any difference to us but was very busy on the Saturday when we returned again from the beach. Excellent timings with the restaurant and you can eat up until 11pm, snack times aren't really snack times as the food is just a variation of the meal prior. Food was good especially after drinking, always hot fresh and actually tasty. Even the fussy eaters would be able to eat. Only inside bar was open assume due to being low season stillAll inclusive finishes at 7pm. We only made the evening meal once which was on the Sunday and was very tasty. Hotel itself is appeared to be quiet we got in most nights/mornings around 4am but as the same in all of Benidorm it is nosey early in the morning. Would definitely return to this hotel again but not in high season as I imagine it's party central. The roof top bar was closed for construction but we did go up to have a look and the view was beautiful. The hotel accepts groups so gives the hotel a real...
