PSYCHO Burger & Shawarma — Restaurant in Benidorm

As one reviewer has already said... do not leave Benidorm until you have tried food from PSYCHO. I am a big believer in food reviews and this place stood out because I've never seen a 5 star place with hundreds of reviews... It never happens unless they're fake reviews and you'll get a dozen at best when places try to pump up their own reviews. When I arrived I was skeptical because it's an unassuming place but I always have faith in lots of reviews. Dimitri was closing but was kind enough to make a kebab for me. While he was making it he explained about his background working in high-end restaurants. His experience and standards have obviously followed him but he is too humble and won't attest to this. The food is incredible. If you ever wondered what kind of kebab a high-end chef would create, then, this is the place. It was lovely food. Very clean and fresh and very tasty. I asked for "a little spice" heeding the warning of "too much spice" on the menu and it was perfect. It was value for money too because it was a foot (30cm) long. I am a big lover of quality food and Dimitri ticks all the boxes for me. He might not believe he is creating awesome food but it really is awesome. I wasn’t expecting a shawarma from a place called Psycho Burger to be this legit, but wow—this chicken shawarma absolutely slaps. From the first bite, you can tell they’re not messing around. The chicken is perfectly marinated—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. It has that smoky, slightly charred edge that makes it feel fresh off the spit, and it’s layered with just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting without overwhelming your taste buds.

The wrap itself is soft yet holds everything together like a pro. Inside, the garlic sauce is creamy and bold (in the best way), with just enough tang to balance out the richness of the meat. Add in the crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and crunchy pickles, and you’ve got a texture mix that hits every note. Honestly, Psycho Burger might need to consider rebranding to Psycho Shawarma at this point, because this thing is borderline addictive. If you’re even thinking about ordering it—do it. You won’t regret it.
